Academy Award winning director Curtis Hanson (LA Confidential) and Academy Award winning producer Brian Grazer (A Beautiful Mind), have made a blockbuster film with multi-platinum recording artists Eminem, who gives an electrifying performance in this gritty and raw drama, supported by an excellent cast including Academy Award winning Kim Basinger. 8 Mile is a story about the boundaries that define our lives, and a young man’s struggle to find the strength and courage to transcend them.  The film charts a week in the life of Jimmy “Rabbit” Smith Jnr (Eminem) a rap-obsessed kid from a single parent trailer park “family” on the 8 mile line which separates the black ghettos of Detroit from the white trash beginnings of the suburbs.  Rabbit knows his ticket out is through his rhymes, but to succeed, he has to channel his anger into his lyrics, and face the showdown of his life…

This semi-autobiographical tale of Eminem's life from director Curtis Hanson arrives with a 2.35:1 Anamorphic Widescreen transfer, DTS 5.1 (English)and Dolby Digital 5.1 (English) soundtracks. 8 Mile will be out on DVD from 26th May and should be available in shops for £19.99.
