Heard this movie was terrible. The extras sound so-so. But I guess an average flick gets average extras. Well bring on the artwork.
What an awful movie! And it's longer than 88 minutes, which, if you ask me, is too long already.

The thing about that is this: At the moment Al Pacino is first told that he has 88 minutes to live, the remaining running time of the movie (including final credits) is 88 minutes (1 hr. 28 mins.).
Does this help?

88 minutes of my life I'll never get back.
Why was this so horrible? I watched 1 hour of it through alternative means and it seemed like a decent action thriller. Plus, it has a decent cast with Pacino, William Forsyth, Amy Brenneman, Ben McKenzie, Alicia Witt and Neal McDonough.
Is it regarded as bad because it was shelved for almost 2 1/2 years after it was filmed and released in Europe before the U.S.?

Thought this one was ok. Might buy it on Blu.
Spoiler This movie was garbage. Leelee was the killer trying to make it look like the "real" killer was out and the killer that Pacino put away is wrongly accused. Pure garbage. Pure chit.

Bludcrimson, your conduct in this thread and others is edging you very close to a ban.

Sony's art department needs to be fired. Seriously.....borrowing from the Bourne artwork??
Mmmaaattt Dammmmmooonnnn!
Lol, That's such a rip-off of the Bourne Supremecy cover. This is probably the worst film of the year, and the reason for which I am no longer anticipating Righteous Kill *cough JON AVNET cough*
Isn't this a remake of something? The plot sounds very familiar....

There me be another movie you're thinking of, but off the top of my head, the plot device (a race against time, filmed in "real time" ) is very similar to Depp's Nick of Time, where he had 90 minutes to assassinate the governor or his daughter dies.

Cracks me up when people say that. Almost as much as "the best/worst movie ever."
Here's a few titles for the sake of perspective:
The Hottie and the Nottie.
Superhero Movie.
Prom Night
Welcome Home Roscoe Jenkins
The mere presence of Al Pacino probably elevates this above those dregs. I say probably as I haven't seen it yet, but I think we agree that to call this the worst of the year is clearly an exaggeration. Mediocre possibly, which for Pacino is a criminal waste, but I highly doubt it's the worst thing committed to the big screen this year.

I saw the first preview screening of Righteous Kill a couple months ago, and I can tell you with absolute certainty that it will be the single biggest disappointment you will ever experience in the theater if you walk in with a glimmer of hope that the Pacino/DeNiro team-up will be worth watching. Cause it was a total waste. Can't vouch for this flick, but if RK is any indication, I'm sure it's absolute garbage.
