Tartan has announced rated and unrated editions of the Michael Winterbottom directed 9 Songs which stars Kieran O’Brien. This sexually charged, critically acclaimed film features live performances by eight of today’s top alternative rock bands, including Black Rebel Motorcycle Club, The Von Bondies, Primal Scream, The Dandy Warhols and Franz Ferdinand. Both discs will be available to own from the 22nd November, priced at around $24.99 a piece. The film itself will be presented in anamorphic widescreen, along with English Dolby Digital 5.1 and DTS 5.1 Surround tracks. Extras will include behind-the-scenes footage featuring the bands of 9 Songs, a concert-only performance option, interviews with cast and crew, the original theatrical trailer and trailers of Tartan Video’s upcoming releases.
