I was hoping during the interim between the announcement and the re-announcement they'd have changed the cover to the R2 art. No such luck.
How about Universal putting an anamorphic widescreen DVD of Fierce Creatures on DVD to compliment this one with some more Cleese-t**t commentary and deleted scenes? I'd ask for the trailer but apparently Universal is stupid.

Yeah this has taken forever. It looks the same as the MGM UK R2 except the R2 has nicer cover art.

Are you serious? The man is a comedian genius.

The original cover art was indeed better, but this is the set I`m going to be buying. Damn, I have to wait until august!
I love that movie, and I'll probably replace my old R1 version with this one...
A must buy for me, I lOVE this movie! A classic comedy with a great cast.
Too slow Sony/MGM. I picked up the R2 from CD-WOW for next to nothing thanks to one of their coupons. And it's got a better cover too! No $ale!

Maybe one of the worst DVD cover of all time.

Yeah. You've only got to watch all the rubbish he's been churning out over the last 30 years to know that. And all those articles and interviews I've ever read about him. At first I thought he was amusing and intelligent when actually, after reading this post, I find out that he's a total t**t and arsehole. How wrong I was all these years and how come t**t gets the treatment but arsehole remains unpunctured?
LOL
I'm spell it out this T ®A T

I thought this was a new title for all regions until I saw the R2 version in the sale at Virgin for £7.99. Still didn't buy it though. Got Lock, Stock for £2.99 (a replacement for an old lent out/not returned VHS copy). Theatrical cut of this is far better than the Directors Cut. They had a fantastic opening with Jason Statham doing his street trader bit and what did they go and do? Muck it up with a pseudo Scorsese/Color of Money voiceover and put more Vinnie Jones in it.
I digress.

Meh. Terrible cover. wasn't really much a fan of this film. I would love to see a Special edition for Fierce Creatures (I think Universal owns it).

I love this film. It is also quite good to show people the horrors of using an open matte version of a film for "full screen".

What an absolutely awesome movie. Deleted scenes, anamorphic transfer AND DTS; definitely one I wouldn't mind double dipping for.
Is that supposed to be serious? Haha, wow. How terrible.
The cover is horrible.
This is one of my personal faves, but the cover is god awful.
I'm happy with the region 2 release that I've had for several years. The content may be the same. The cover (including a slipcover) is MUCH better too.
I actually never saw this. But I did hear that its hysterical.
Jesus, what a c**p cover!

Its about time.... But what's with that awful cover? YIKES I may have to run out and buy the original release just for the cover art.
