No, this DID get a limited theatrical release in the U.S. through Carmike Cinemas. I work for that company, and I did see it.
It's an interesting movie. It's almost like "The Prestige" (the whole movie is non-linear), except this is a murder mystery set in a upscale hotel. Brittany Murphy's performance was good though subdued, compared to Mike Vogel.
