I liked the show, but not enough to pick it up since the season ended without any closure and then the show got axed by FOX. Plus, the extras are pretty weak, but who can blame WB, they want to recoup some money from this show. It would have to be under $20 for me to even remotely consider getting it.
I hadn't heard about the cancellation! The tribute to Bullit car chase in the last episode was great fun though but I laughed when I saw the VW Beetle show up (like it does in Bullit) through-out the chase. A featurette on the chase would be nice, they did a good job trying to replicate it although it ended differently. Enjoyed the show but it was slightly too violent for family viewing so I was left to watch it alone in the wee hours of the morning....
I enjoyed this show and I would get it but it'll have to be pretty cheap when I do pick it up because the lack of conclusion.
Looks like Jennifer Aniston
Some resolution for you DJBlack1313...
As reported by TV Guide, their August 14th - 20th, 2006 issue. It featured a quick interview with actor Tyler Labine, played Dave Groves. He was being interviewed for his new role as Jonathan Winant on the then series, BOSTON LEGAL (also on ABC). He was asked about what was planned for season two had it not been axed...
"Larkin (Lisa Sheridan) was going to be presumed dead. Russel and I were going to join forces against Tom. Tom was going to find out that his first wife was alive and running this whole military operation, and she was Szura's boss."
What was the end game?
Labine said this while rounding questions with co-star Alan Tudyk; promoting their then new movie, TUCKER & DALE VS. EVIL - 2010 Sundance Film Festival...
"INVASION, I was very upset. We didn't know it was the end. We filmed it because we were absolutely certain we were going to get a second season. Which we were at the time. And then things changed. So it was bummer 'cause I knew, I mean, I knew what the second season was going to be. We knew the whole idea. Well the whole - I'll just tell you this. The whole idea of the show was that we were never going to win, it was an evolutionary step. What was happening, this re-seeding; this invasion itself was not an invasion at all. It was our next evolutionary step. So we were basically going to spend five seasons, which is what Shaun Cassidy wanted to do - trying to win this battle we couldn't win. It was the end of human nature or human kind as we knew it. So that was going to be the end. And I was going to have to basically have to beat my sister Larkin - who was going to come back as an evolved hybrid, not a hybrid, she was going to be a full evolved and I was going to have to organize a militia together to kill her, which was going to be cool. But it's not what happened, so, yeah. So basically the whole show would be - we were dead, we were always dead 'cause it's the next evolutionary step."

FilmShow, either way the way Networks run things sucks major ass. ABC's abrupt cancelation with the show INVASION i'm STILL not over (and this is from back in 2005! LOL). it just ended on such a big cliffhanger that it literally turned me off from ever getting involved in a network series again. i admit i did fall off the wagon and watched ABC's show REVENGE and was shocked it didn't get canceled.
They don't end the shows on cliffhangers on purpose. A lot of times they end the season thinking the show will comeback another season but then the networks will go and cancel the show. It even happens to big hit shows that are even guaranteed another season.
I can't see why people would even consider buying this when there was no ending it was left open .This is just like the ABC V season 2 no ending or ABC The River no ending they cancel these shows without a proper ending .If you going to cancel a show at least give us a proper ending not a cliffhanger after all this is not Wrestling you know .
I don't understand this concept at all .
I don't understand this concept at all .
Complete series? Ha! They pulled the plug before anything was really explained.
