I'm getting the Blu-ray just to learn to do the Futterwacken.
I actually really enjoyed this film. First day buy for me.
Terrible film. Everything was so lazy and it was ridiculously boring.
i liked it i will pick up the combo pack
Day one purchase for me, but I'm not exactly sure which Blu-ray version to get...

Damn that was quick. Bad movie, Burton, please make another movie when you get rid of your shtick.

I third that. I was hoping for the best, but everything came out so half-assed.

And the studios continue to screw over those of us yet to upgrade to BluRay!
My b-day is June 20th. I know what I'll be asking for. The Blu/DVD combo set. Only two things disappoint me about the set, however. One is that Avril Lavigne's music video for Alice (Underground), which I love, won't be included in any of the releases it seems, and two, I wish they'd found a way to incorporate the Red Queen, the White Queen, and the Knaive on the cover. Heck, even the Jabberwocky. Still, if they had to only have the four characters from the film that's on the cover, they should have put Alice in the center, not the Mad Hatter. I know JD has top billing, but, the movie is called ALICE in Wonderland.

i think they're confused.....they do that sorta stuff, give blu-ray more features but then they go and create the blu-dvd combo idea. i mean they're even creating double sided discs that have dvd on one side and blu on the other.
either stop making dvds altogether or if you're gonna keep em around, then give the same attention they used to.
i'm completely converted but dvds are gonna be around for a while so i dont get whey they do this c**p. oh and then another funny thing, they'll release a movie on blu-ray that had a good dvd special edition with many extras, but the blu version either barely has any or is completely barebones.
its just retarded. lol

Absolutely, Bouncy X.
Have the DVD equal; that is the say those which are NOT exclusive to the format such as BD Live and the like. I have no problems with Blu-Rays having exclusives. But stuff native to that scheme.
The film I'm the most excited about this year is "Tron Legacy", but I fear the DVD release will be bare bones.

I wasn't impressed with this. I really wanted to like it, but I don't think I will watch it again.
Love the DVD and standard Blu-ray art. Glad they stuck with the poster.

I was really disappointed with this film. It just didn't agree with me. Not exactly the twisted Alice in Wonderland movie I was hoping for. Tim Burton REALLY needs to go back doing original films instead of remakes/sequels/existing-properties
I find it strange that the 1-disc Blu-Ray slipcover is BETTER than the 3-disc Blu-Ray slipcover.

This movie was absolutely godawful. Nothing about it was original; it is the Hot Topic version of what Burton's Alice would be. Everyone in it seemed bored, the effects were horrible, and even Depp as the Mad Hatter was just irritating and lame. I lost respect for everyone involved on this film. (Except Elfman; his score was still pretty good.)
Alice in Wonderland was pretty decent in my opinion. Although, I expected something epic, but what I got was just a fun movie. The visuals were phenomenal! It doesn't bother me that they aren't releasing the 3-D version until 2011 because the 3-D in this movie was just okay. You can tell it was converted, instead of actually shot in 3-D. I might buy.
I agree with Michael Cordwell, his agreeing users too and Kyle Mertes. Wolfarcher, TubedUp909, that means you as well.
I was another one that wasn't impressed by it. I had to see this movie twice, the second time for a party and it really wasn't that good. It's not really the story I grew up watching. I thought this movie was entirely irrelevant compared to the cartoon (which I have enjoyed very much so growing up as a kid).
I was much happier watching "Diary of a Wimpy Kid" instead. I was also more impressed (but not as surprised) with "How to Train Your Dragon" than that one.

I never thought Mad Hatter was the star of ALICE in Wonderland. Why doesn't Tim Burton just have sex with Johnny Depp, cuz there is obviously an unhealthy infatuation there bordering on "love knife". You would think Crispin Glover and Johnny Depp together in a movie would've been fantastic, man was I mistaken.
I wish this was American McGee's Alice. That has more of a Tim Burton feel than this mix-bag mess.
Yeh I still dont know how i feel about this. I saw it in 3-D and liked some of it, but just didnt get into the story and like some said it did have boring parts. I wont be buying it though. I will wait and see it again when it comes on tv. I do like all the cover arts though
Man, SOMEONE (like Target) better be realisning their own 2-disk DVD version of Alice in Wonderland cause I want most if not all the features the Blu-Ray includes. If EVERYONE only gets the single-disk "bare bones" Alice in Wonderland, then I'm gonna have to write an angry letter top both Disney & whoever distributes their DVD/Blu-Rays.

sadly this is becoming the norm, giving less extras (in some cases none) to the dvd while the blu-ray has a lot. this was such a huge movie that if the dvd is so bare now, i doubt it'll ever get more until they double dip in the future. but even that isn't a sure thing.
when they announced the X-Men trilogy for blu-ray, i figured they were releasing dvd versions at the same time but they didnt. so dvd ownwers are still stuck with a barebones Part 3 while the blu-ray has a few hours worth of extras.

Relax, there's high probability that somebody will release their extra-loaded-version DVD. The same thing happened to Terminator 4.
And oh yeah, although a visual feast, it's a boring movie. Hell, even Mars Attack was far more entertaining.

So call the movie ALICE in wonderland and have Depp the center of attention on two of the covers and ONLY him on the Blu ray cover? How retarded is that?
And Disney sure does a great job plastering their freaking name all over the releases. From the cover and spine alone I counted the logo 5 times. 6 on the SE!

The movie was just OK. I wasn't impressed with it like some others. It was a movie where Tim Burton would have been better off making a film about the Mad Hatter.

I totally agree! I'm a big Tim Burton fan, and even though I liked the movie, I would've much rather seen a Mad Hatter movie. They obviously made a history there and it could've been a far more original and entertaining movie. Still, I will be buying the blu-ray combo edition.

Saw this in IMAX and was massively disappointed. Probably won't be buying.
