Worst movie ive ever seen. big time pass for me.
Disappointed. Tim Burton should move onto something more original, although I did like his vision of Charlie and the Chocolate Factory, Sweeney Todd & Sleepy Hollow. It just wasn't the Alice in Wonderland I was expecting. But I guess no one would really want to see my vision of Alice in Wonderland. Too morbid and disturbing for the general audience.
The highlight for me when I saw it in theatres was the Tron Legacy 3D trailer.

do they really need to include the blu-ray? you're telling me they cant have the 2D and 3D versions on one disc? its bad enough they are ripping people off by jacking the price for a useless dvd and digital copy.
3d sux, its starting to get old now. I MAY see certain 3d movies but i think the effect is wearing thin. Sometimes theres no effect, its just not neccessary
Does this version come with the cut of the movie that didn't punish the audience for being Tim Burton fans?
If I'm being honest, the 3D was one of the best converted I've seen, but the movie itself is awful. Saying it was a disappointment wouldn't even begin to cover my feelings on it.
Gimme an announcement for "Megamind." Want to know about that one instead.
I swear the futterwacken seen made my eyes bleed, and I probably can't have kids now.
I have to go against the grain, at least for these comments, because I found this film to be enchanting, although I didn't see it in 3D. It's visually stunning and I embraced the story, characters, and the overall surrealism. The only thing I really predicted was the ending with Alice's prophecy, ironically. That's a quibble, though, and the futterwacken is amusing and unexpected. The film's not one of the best of the year, for me, but I'm glad I saw it.
I enjoyed the film. The 3D didn't do much for me in this one though. I find it strange that 3D Blu-ray discs aren't 2D-capable though. It smells of greed.

Well, I also at least kind of predicted her behaviour when she was back in the real world, but again, it's not a big deal.

Meh. I didn't think it was super-uberly horrible, but it certainly wasn't good. It was laziness incarnate, really. Ah, well.
Weird how they are now announcing this.
When I got my Blu-ray setup, I had a HARD time replacing my DVDS and buying their BDs, but for some weird reason... I have no problem replacing my BDs with 3DBD's. Anyway, I wanna snag this, but I could care less about the combo. I already own the combo pack of the 2D version. And for the combo pack, it only cost me 15 bucks. (It was $25 and my $10 coupon was still valid), so I don't care about upgrading.
Btw, doesn't anyone find it hilarious that Alice in Wonderland thinks it could be nominated for Best Picture? First of all, it has a 51% on Rotten Tomatoes. That alone will not get you a nomination.
Furthermore, there is NO plot. I like this movie and all but let's be realistic. The script sucks and the movie was good but not GREAT. A Visual Effects nom is VERY likely but that's pretty much it.
Also, just for the fun of it, I threw together my top and bottom 5 of 2010. Anyone care to agree/disagree?
TOP 5
1 Black Swan
2 The Social Network
3 Inception
4 Toy Story 3
5 Easy A
BOTTOM 5
1 My Soul To Take
2 The A-Team
3 Clash of the Titans
4 Charlie St. Cloud
5 When in Rome
(P.S. I thought When in Rome was awful, but not one of the worst. It's just that my list was lacking, haha. I haven't seen "Vampires Suck", "The Last airbender", "Furry Vengeance" or "Cop Out" but maybe I should just to complete my bottom list. Also, I haven't seen "127 Hours", "HP7:1", or "The Ghost Writer" so maybe my best list could be longer).

Haha, I don't care. I just thought you'd like it a lot more than that.

Black Swan was a solid movie. I wasn't expecting it to be such a genre film, which may have skewed my opinion a bit. Never quite got under my skin like I hoped it would. Liked it a good deal, but didn't quite love it. I'll definitely see it again when it opens in theaters here (saw it at the Austin Film Festival the first time).
My bottom 5 might seem harsh, but there are plenty of bad movies I never saw this year. I try to avoid them, so a few movies that are generally accepted as "decent" may slip onto here:
1. Alice in Wonderland (I seriously, deeply, loathe this movie)
2. Cop Out
3. From Paris With Love
4. Wolfman
5. Due Date

Well... it certainly got under my skin. But I think you maybe didn't LOVE it because it seemed very "weird". Some movies can be a little odd, but I found it the perfect amount of odd.
As for Alice in Wonderland and Wolfman, I'm really surprised you included those in your bottom 5. AIW was actually good (not great but entertaining) and Wolfman was okay.

Yeah, Alice in Wonderland awakened some ancient bitterness in me that I didn't know existed. It just rubbed me all kinds of wrong ways. As for the others, I sort of enjoyed them, I just haven't really bothered with many bad movies this year. I've been good at avoiding them. I'm sure there is much worse out there.

I feel the same way! Haha, I kept thinking "why is 2010 claimed as such a bad year?".
Then again... I haven't seen "The last airbender", "Skyline", or "Furry Vengeance".
"Burlesque" was not as bad as people were saying it to be. An extremely flawed, but fun movie.
I forgot about Legion (there's a shock!). Legion was by far the worst. I mean, it wasn't even interesting. It was boring. I highly suggest you don't see it. BAD acting. TERRIBLE direction. plot holes galore. It was a nightmare.

Woah! There were tons of movies that I would say are best and worst.
Top 5:
1. Toy Story 3
2. Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part 1
3. Diary of a Wimpy Kid
4. Despicable Me
5. Iron Man 2
Bottom 5:
1. Marmaduke
2. Alice in Wonderland
3. Here and There (that's an independent film)
4. Leap Year
5. Wall Street: Money Never Sleeps
Movies I was probably too smart to see (Top 5):
1. The Last Airbender
2. The Bounty Hunter
3. Charlie St. Cloud
4. Cop Out
5. Cats and Dogs: The Revenge of Kitty Galore (well there's a lot more that I was probably too smart to see because 2010 was one of the weakest year for movies).
BELIEVE ME, FOR THOSE WHO WERE SO DISAPPOINTED WITH THIS MOVIE, IF YOU ARE READING THIS, I WOULD HAVE TO AGREE WITH YOU!!! I was forced to see this movie for a second time at a party and was so disappointed. I thought "Diary of a Wimpy Kid" and "How to Train Your Dragon" (the latter movies that were released at the same month) were FAR, FAR, FAR BETTER than this!!!
