We don't usually cover Japanese news, but we couldn't resist this one! It appears that 20th Century Fox will be releasing the Alien Quadrilogy in some rather funky packaging in Japan. Whilst the US and UK get a digipack style package design, Japan will be getting the discs inside the head of an Alien Warrior. How cool is that?! I'm afraid we have no details on how much this beast will set you back, although I imagine it'll be a little more expensive than usual! We've attached a shot of the packaging below:

I seen this on a forum I go to and the UK price equivalent was £77 so if it's easy to get a hold of I'd pick it up in a flash

quite hilarious actually to pass it of as that.

meh. i was pleasantly surprised when i realized there is a DTS track on Lost in Translation so i'm happy.

But in Japan everything is possible. They have a lot of titles with DTS while R1 or R2 only has DD 5.1

The Japanese even have a Dr. Strangelove Superbit with DTS!!! Not bad for a film from 1964 that was recorded in mono...

I didnt think even the R1 had DTS on every disc? S'not on Aliens is it?

There is a DTS track on each, but it's only 6 disks.

Funky but word is that the discs come without extras. Although some also say that a DTS track is included on each disc.

Worth buying this boxset only for the packaging?
