Quote: Beware, earthlings. From The X Files' R.W. Goodwin comes a new cult classic in the tradition of The Blob and It Came from Outer Space. It's 1957, a spaceship has just landed in a quiet small town, and Earth is threatened by an unknown evil. But fear not, hope also has arrived. Will & Grace's Eric McCormack stars as an astronomer possessed by an alien bent on saving our humble planet. Yet even with the help of a diner waitress, is he any match for the Ghota, a rogue alien on a murderous rampage?

I saw the trailer for this a while back and it actually looked like it could be quite good fun. Did it actually get a proper cinema release over in the US?
I have to agree though the artwork is horrible. As well as just looking horrible it's also rather misleading. It makes the film look like a serious alien invasion film whereas it's actually a comedy/spoof
The original poster, which actually advertises the film as an old masterpiece uncovered after 50 years, would have been a much better choice

I'll have to rent this. It was in theaters for a week and was gone. It looked pretty so, I'll check it out.
I'm also totally convinced that no artwork will ever work for everyone. Some will like it and some will hate it. Let it go. Life's too short to whine over artwork on a DVD.

they shoulda stuck with the 1950s poster art
Sounds vaguely like "Brain From Planet Arous" only with some roles reversed.
