First Look Studios has announced An American Crime which stars Catherine Keener, Ellen Page, and James Franco. This new drama will be available to own from the 19th August, and should retail at around $24.98. The film itself will be presented in anamorphic widescreen, along with an English Dolby Digital 5.1 Surround track. The only extra material will be preview trailers. Was looking forward to this movie since May 2006 and was disappointed. O'Haver seemed to justify Gertrude's (Keener) actions, when in reality it was just a heinous, unmitigated crime.

Forget 'An american crime' call it the 'Ellen Page movie'. She's been in Juno, Smart people, The Tracey fragments, X-men: The last stand. Should I go on?

I hate the constant Juno quotes. Since that movie came out eveything Ellen Page will be in and any movie similar to Juno will have a quote on it comparing them. I'm just glad they got rid of the Juno quote on Teeth's cover.

I saw this on Showtime last month. I wanted to take my bat and Catherine Keener's head in. I've never so angered at a movie character since Paul Bettany and his gang in "Firewall" and with that movie, I wanted to reach towards the TV and tear them to shreds with my bare hands. Now, back to this movie and I'll be calm about it, "An American Crime" was one of the most unsatisfying & unsavory psychological crime thrillers in years, but Ellen Page's performance is brilliant & heartbreakingly bittersweet.
