Wonder which version of Halloween will be released...
Love that they included the DTS tracks for DayOTD and DawnOTD.

Can't see any indication of the regions on the back cover.Anyone know if they'll be ABC?Or at least work on a Region B player?
Way to go Anchor Bay!!!!

I'm curious about that myself. I own the version without Dean Cundey on DVD, so I might be willing to buy the other one.

Awesome! Bob needs!
now the milking begins on high def ....how many more times are we gonna see these same releases on blue ray ....im goin for 9,000
Why do they call Day the last of the Romero Dead films? No matter how inferior Land was to the others, it's still part of the series.
How is Evil Dead 2 a prequel to Evil Dead 3? Can anyone actually ever use the word "prequel" properly? A prequel is a sequel to a film, but set before the events of the film it is a sequel to.
Evil Dead 1 cannot be a prequel at all, because it is not a sequel to anything. Evil Dead 2 could only be a prequel to Evil Dead 1 if it was set before the events of the first, but it's not, and it cannot be a prequel to a further sequel (now pointlessly called threequels).
Prequel = Sequel to a film set before the events of the original.
I find it really annoying that people can't use this word properly.

Shall we soon see a Evil Dead HD box set? Hmmm...

Probably not, since Universal owns AoD and already released it on HD-DVD as opposed to ED2 and assumably ED1 which are going to be on BR. Speaking of which, is this the first series to have different installments on the two HD formats?

Is Dawn of the Dead theatrical cut? I already own Ultimate edition 4-disc dvd set, so will probably skip this blu-ray edition. As for other three titles, I'm very interested if they will be region free.
www.themanroom.com announced this weeks ago, but it's nice to see the back covers. Weird that Evil Dead 2 gets PCM but the two Romero films only get DTS, not even DTS HD.
Also, let's remember this is Anchor Bay. All of these titles received the Divimax treatment, which more or less amounts to gauzian blur to hide grain. It unfortunately greatly softens the picture. Evil Dead 2 suffered the worse from this bunch. Since Blu-ray is all about having a sharp, detailed picture, these might be dissapointing releases unless they use the original masters. Let's hope and pray that is the case.

Seeing as EVERYONE who even owns a HD player will also be keeping their VASTLY more numerous collection of standard DVD's (that will already include "Evil Dead" if they like it)...what is the point of a High Def release of something as punk rock, shot on the hoof, cheap 'n' cheerful and amazingly low-fi like "The Evil Dead" any way?
What the hell are you waiting to see in high def quality? The 16 mm grain, the modelling clay, stop-motion exploding Deadites? The latex appliances? The rubber limbs?

Does any one know if "Halloween" will have special features? If its just another re-hash of what has already been released on standard DVD then what the hell is the point?! Its blu-ray, not screw-u-ray.
I'll swallow your soul. Evil Dead II is still one of my favorite films.

100% agree there, I also own the UE Dawn of the Dead four discer, so I would rather stick with this version.

It's not good, they're re-using the old SD-DVD audio tracks instead of creating new PCM or DTS-HD tracks.
Interesting to see Evil Dead only gets a 5.1 mix and a PCM track BUT the others get NO HD Audio tracks. That's a shame.
Hopefully Halloween will get PCM.

Did anyone notice that they just copied the Halloween Art on top of the Evil Dead 2 front template? You can see a little bit at the bottom. Just pointing it out.
I don't own a Blu-Ray Player or HDTV, but part of me wants to go ahead and buy Halloween on Blu-Ray because I collect alot of Halloween stuff. I even have the c**ppy 1997 1st DVD release of Halloween where it has the KILL 'EM ALL menu.

I would expect Halloween to be a HD version of the latest DVD that came out and has the same box art.
Being a Monroevill Mall visitor, it'll be nice to see that as an extra on Dawn of the Dead. It doesn't look much like the same mall anymore, after 30 years the nostalgia kinda wore off.

Where is the f**king subtitles? Why Anchor Bay doesn't care about hearing impaired or latin consumers?
According to http://bluray.liesinc.net/ this releases will be region A coded
Just got in all 4 today; NO DTS on DawnOTD or DayOTD. Sucky.
damn these releases are packed full of special features
