Lionsgate Home Entertainment has announced 2-disc ($39.99) and 3-disc ($59.99) Blu-ray releases of Apocalypse Now for October 19th. Both Blu-ray versions contain Apocalypse Now – The 1979 Cut and Apocalypse Now Redux presented in their original theatrical aspect ratios (2.35:1) for the first time. I just wet my pants. The 3 disc set is an immediate buy for me.
This is the 3rd must-buy release this year for me, after the Vengence Trilogy and the Kurosawa First Four films Eclipse set.
This is definately the darkest war movie I have seen. One of the greatest movie experiences I have had. I was contemplating buying the Complete Dossier, but I decided to hold off for the blu. I'm glad it's out sooner than later. I love the smell of blu in October! As for the cover, while I understand the 2-disc set is the original poster, I love the 3-disc art as well. October can't come soon enough!

The three-disc is an easy choice. Too bad I prefer the cover of the two-disc.
That 3 disc ed. looks friggin' sweet, but the price is killin' me...
Prefer the art work for the 2 disc set however I'll be getting the 3 disc its a no briner just hope they a region Free or they get a UK release fairly soon!!
