I kinda wish they'd opted fot the Criterion-like cover whick is far less obnoxious. I'll pull this out of the $9 bin ay Walmart.
Such a stupid movie. An insult to the intelligence
Pass. Maybe if I'm in the mood, it's a rental.

So was I. My paycheck bounced.

All the Criterion extras are on the UKR2 Two Discer (by Disney/Touchstone) except for the Michael Bay Gag Reel which is pretty gsg free having recently looked at it.
The same R2 2 discer even has the slightly longer directors cut on it and is anamorphic.
Gag reel aside, the R2 is ahead of the Criterion for PQ although some sites report that the sound isn't as beefy as the Criterion. I can't confirm either way as I'm sure it makes not one jot of difference unless you do a direct side by side comparison.
The PAL speed up might be an issue to some of course, but to be honest, Armageddon 6 or 7 minutes shorter is a good thing.

Day one buy. I love this movie. Always been pissed since the day I put in my Criterion DVD into my blu ray player and found out it wasn't anamorphic. Criterion I am keeping I guess for all the extras.

Criterion probably lost the rights, so don't expect anything from them. The special features were probably their property and were not bought by Disney.

No.
Abrams was one of literally 15-20 writers. No joke.
since they released the criterion extras for The Rock's Blu release, i'm very surprised they didn't do the same here. considering both movies are the same studio and all.
and wow, i had no clue J.J. Abrams wrote this.

This barebone-Blu-ray campaign really infuriates me. They're just wasting room in that Blu-disc.
Day one purchase for me!
Might rent this one.

No proper features? Weak!
