Baghead (US - DVD R1)
Sony Pictures Home Entertainment has announced this Duplass Bros movie
Title: Baghead
Starring: Steve Zissis
Released: 30th December 2008
SRP: $28.96
Further Details:
Sony Pictures Home Entertainment has announced Baghead which stars Steve Zissis, Ross Partridge, and Greta Gerwig. The film will be available to own from the 30th December, and should retail at around $28.96. The film itself will be presented in 1.78:1 anamorphic widescreen, along with an English Mono track. Extras will include commentary with Directors/Writers Mark Duplass and Jay Duplass, a Mark and Jay Duplass Interview, and a Baghead Scares feature. We've attached the official artwork below:

Quote: While the Duplass Brothers were shooting their last feature film The Puffy Chair, a crew member raised the question "what's the scariest thing you can think of?" Someone immediately said "a guy with a bag on his head staring into your window." Some agreed, but some thought it was downright ridiculous and, if anything, funny (but definitely not scary). Thus, BAGHEAD was born, an attempt to take the absurdly low-concept idea of a "guy with a bag on his head" and make a funny, truthful, endearing film that, maybe, just maybe, was a little bit scary, too.

I've wanted to see this (badly) since the first trailer I saw and the good reception coming out of Sundance.
Even though the reviews became mixed, I'm still blind buying it!

It does seem to be that every other film these days has a character with a bag over their head on the DVD cover. Who ever thought that Abu Ghraib would become such a trendsetter?

J Linc, I know this haha, thank you though. The actual photograph is great, but the quotes "Hilarious!!!!!!" "FUNNIEST MOVIE OF THE YEAR!!" ect ect don't work at all, thats what I was talking about.
haha, i heard many good things about this. a Blu-ray release is needed for this.

I saw this at SXSW with the directors and cast present. I would recommend renting. It's definitely worth seeing just for the creative way it blends genres, but it really isn't anything I would feel compelled to see more than once.
I really want to see that.
Definite rental. Seemed great.
That was/is the theatrical artwork (i.e. all of them in a bed with bags on their heads) for the film as well, thisisjoshua.
I hate the way they are marketing it, it's really not that funny haha. It's an amazing film, but it's scarier than it is funny. I never even thought of it as a parody. The artwork really dumbs it down! This is not good. Anyways, I really loved it, beautifully shot.
Wanted to see this, but the limited release kept me from doing so.
Interesting trailer for this movie...it's a mix of comedy, romance and horror...definetley checking this one out!
I've heard mixed things about this but I think it looks good, so i'll blind buy it.
I heard this was hilarious!! Might give it a rent.
baghead...
not the greatest of titles.
not the greatest of titles.
I have been waiting for this announcement for a while now. I'm a little angry that there is a severe lack of supplements but considering it is an indie film I should have guessed there wouldn't be much.
