I never bought this on DVD. I still have the VHS though. With the Diet Coke Alfred ad in front and, I believe, a Bugs Bunny cartoon.
I bought the DVD, but I could not get rid of that exact VHS tape. I will not be buying this. I just bought the Anthology a few years back. Maybe when they release all of them in one pack, the original four, I will go Blu then.

Likewise. That cover art is wicked, though. Glad they are using the UK artwork.

i bought the 2 disc regular dvd a while back, probably not going to upgrade but it does look pretty cool
Man, that artwork (which is the R2 DVD artwork, no?) is soooo much nicer than the ones on the R1 SE DVDs.
20 years already???? ....... wow, thanks for reminding me just how old i am---- oh and how much i hated TDK.
jeez, am i the only one out there who prefers the original theatrical poster?

Damn, I knew this was coming. Already got the Anthology set, probably break down and get this too.

This is pointless considering the anthology is being released on BD in March.

I'll be getting that instead.

well this might be a sign they will also release them individually so for those who dont want the last 2, it be good. but i'm a completist so if i didnt already have it on dvd, i'd get the anthology set despite batman and robin. (i actually like Forever..sue me lol)

While this whole collectors edition look is extremely tempting, ill be picking up the anthology on Blu-Ray instead.
ive just bought the uk version, ebay here we come.
Might wait for the boxset.
Well kiss my grits!!!
Now I sure am lovin my new Blurays but seein as I own the four Bat movies on dvd already I think I might just make do with them, for the time bein at least.
I will always love Jacks Joker because I grew up with him, he gave a great performance IMO. At that time he was the perfect choice for the character.

Oh well. I'll get this. I think Heath Ledger was the best Joker.

I agree! And as good as Batman was, Burton's best Batman was the next one, Batman Returns. Sure, it's a Burton movie with Batman in it, but it worked very well. I think it has more repeat value than any of the pre-Nolan Batman movies, excluding the "Batman - The Movie"... some days you just can't get rid of a bomb!

I don't know, the 2-disc edition was already amazing, I can't imagine the picture and sound quality being much further improved considering it's now a 20-year-old movie, and if it doesn't include the 3+ hours worth of documentaries the 2-disc had, there's really no reason to upgrade.

Yeah, I have to agree with others. The booklet looks very nice indeed, but without all the features on the Anthology set, what's the point? I'll always love this movie, always one of my favorites growing up!

So much for allowing for more than one interpretation of a character. And so much for respecting and recognizing an extraordinary performance by a terrific actor taken from us far too soon.

You know something?
It's idiots like you that really cheapen anything you come into contact with, fair enough, if you really think that Jack Nicholson's Joker is better than Heath Ledger's then that's your opinion, and sadly, you are entitled to it.

I got it once on DVD, and will be passing on this BR.
In my personal opinion, I just dont think this was a very good movie. It is very dated, and Burton's version while very unique, is not a good Batman. Most of the characters are off, and although I appreciate the effort, it does not hold up.
