Yes, and it's glorious. This is my favorite of the post-Star Wars ripoffs. Ever since Shout! Factory started doing the Roger Corman collection I've been waiting for it. Now if they could only get Space Raiders (one of the films in which nearly all of the space-based effects from BBTS was reused) released on at least DVD I'd be very happy. Shout! Factory is one of the better smaller distributors out there and have been putting out some really quality releases lately, so this one should be decent.

Sounds about right. The main hero's ship is the large one on the DVD artwork above, but it's actually an orangey flesh color in the film.

I enjoyed this movie. I watched it when I was trying to catch up with all movies based on the Seven Samurai. This was pretty good to watch. I remember that Robert Vaughn played the same role he had played in The Magnificent Seven. Only, instead of cowboys, they were spaceboys!

I wouldn't mind picking this one up. And I imported a PS3 from US sometime back so I don't get to miss out on Region A locked Blus. I am not too certain of the quality of the Blu-rays  we get here. I never buy Foreign movies locally here. I always import them from Amazon.

In a recent EMPIRE article James Murakami claims he designed the ship (he still has the original pencil sketches) and Camerons work was mainly on the interior apart from alterations to ah.... the ships nipples.

I love this film though it's great fun. Hopefully these see the light of day in the UK. Madness to region lock them. A lot of people would import them if they didn't.
