As someone who loves war movies, I have yet to buy any of these Iraq War movies because I am very skeptical of them as we all know Hollywood is mostly extremely liberal and anti-war, and will do/make any Iraq War film that portrays our troops and efforts over there as something akin to the coming of the anti-Christ or something.
IIRC, wasn't Brain DePalma's and Mark Cuban's film "Redacted" about this same incident? I mean Geez??? Why don't we get three movies about Abu Graib while we're at it? I know the Hate-Bush crowd will do anything to paint the Iraq War as a total failure, but the current facts on the ground just don't support that conclusion. I mean if you based the total success of WWI or WWII on every majopr or minor setback, then the Allies should/would have surrendered within the first 6 months.

So war movies should be pro-war, with extreme unquestionable patriotism, with little critical examination and only show the glorious battles where our sub-human enemies are destroyed in a bloodbath by a great American hero? Plus the government can do no wrong. Bush hate crowd? The president with the lowest approval rating ever?
Iraq was sold to the American people as an easy war that would end quickly, cost little lives and something about nuclear weapons that cannot be found. Apparently their are different tribes too and they hate each other. The head of government found that out after the fact. Great planning and intelligence.
As for Abu Graib and Guantánamo Bay: Breaking human rights laws we created, kind of makes us look silly and immoral. Could possibly create more terrorists too. Certainly great for recruiting because all our moral ground is lost.
Yes war, the worst of humanity, should be celebrated...
I thought Generation Kill was a very fair treatment.
