So disappointing. All action, weak on plot.

Awful, hollow, boring, ugly film.
I hope they keep that imposing tagline where it is, just because it's so inept.

This movie brought on opening day of bad luck to all of those in Japan.
people exepcted this to have a good plot?
ill take this over Skyline. that movie made me want to quit watching movies.

wow, blu-ray owners actually get to choose whether or now we want a dvd with it? imagine that, if only they all did it that way.
i guess i'm one of the few who REALLY liked (not loved) this movie! lol. i do see why many people didn't like it though. i'm not a huge fan of shaky cam (people have said it's WAY too shaky cam in this) but i didn't find it hardly shaky or difficult to watch/see what's happening at all.
Ugly cover. I wanted to see this but once again my lazy friends couldn't be arsed going so I missed it. It looked okay to me but it really has had a lot of negative reviews. Not that I take notice of reviews at all but it's not exactly encouraging.
shaky cam? you mean shaky cam as in Cloverfield? if so this is a definate no buy for me and even a definate no watch.
LOL yeh shaky cam sucks and I had Bo desire to see this at all. I do like the cover arts and something tells me that it's not finale. I don't know why but it seems like every time they get the cover right the first time, they screw it up later on.
So, so dull.
Shaky cam can be alright...to a point. But when they do it for just about every single scene, it can make you sick.
Enjoyed this film quite a bit. Surprised the DVD has that many special features! *wink, wink* Will be getting this when it goes on sale. And to the people saying that it's all action and no plot...wasn't that the point? It's a war film that happens to have aliens and it portrays it really well. 7/10
The teaser looked EPIC. The actual trailer? Meh. Typical popcorn shlock. I'll rent this one just because my curosity gets the better of me.
Noooooooo thaaaaanks

That same reasoning led me to see it at the theater and loose 2 hours of my life I won't be getting back.
Better than SKYLINE? You betcha, but that's not so high a merit...

First day buy for me. While I agree with many here that the movie had a bit to much shaky cam AND a thin story line, this movie is very very very accurately made and properly portrays Marines, their uniforms and many of their tactics involved. You can tell the Corps put a lot of effort into helping the production team getting those parts correct. I was very impressed with the authenticity and action of the film.
thought battle la. kicked butt. best invasion movie since independence day.
a big improvement over Skyline. I liked Battle Los Angles and hated Skyline
They MUST drop that preachy tagline! It's not war its survival? :/
I don't mind the cover art, as long as it has some sort of cool slipcover. Decent movie.
It was a decent film, but there wasn't really a plot going on. The cover sucks as well.
Independence Day is more enjoyable than this although logically flawed.
Way better than Skyline, but weak characters. I still enjoyed the film and will definitely get the BD.
The trailer for this looked like the definition of EPIC, like the mother of all Cloverfield-esque disaster alien movies. Too bad it simply wasn't. You gotta give it to the trailer editors though. Worth checking out if you like this sort of movie though.
Skyline = Cloverfield - (budget + writers)
