big fish cover
i think that the cover is really lovely but i agree that the bright yellow distracts the eye from the main picture maybe it should be in a dark blue or something. Big fan of the movie and many Tim Burton films.
Darn anamorphic widescreen!!!! Oh well, I'll get o'er it.
Tom: thanks that fixed the problem
I definately like that artwork and this movie was one of my favorites of last year. I can't wait for release day!

Aryn - try pressing control & F5 on your keyboard...
I don't see any big fish artwork on my end just a dvdanswers image.
text on covers
helps me rent movies for sure.
That helps the people that aren't there when I have time to walk over there and say "hey, that was nominated for four academy awards

I don't like it. The actual cover is well and nice, but way too much stuff crammed on it. I prefer simplicity. Like just the poster art and then maybe a quote at the bottom. Kind of like Finding Nemo.
quotes on dvd covers only ever say to me "this film needs us to shout about it otherwise it won't sell"
Nice work
I loved the movie... and I can't wait to own this DVD... I like the packaging... but the reason they put the nominations up there is for the ones who haven't seen the movie and it is to entice them "hey this movie was nominated for best picture, it MUST be good" you get the hint. Tim Burton is a genius!
yep, an overcrowded with text cover.

I loved the movie, but why do they advertise the nominations and quotes so heavily? I like the artwork, but maybe just the tagline and the cast names, but the nominations aren't that important.
Yea the cover does look very nice.
Jumbled Mess
I like the artwork... But, seriously, could they cram any more junk on that cover?!
