This show was cool, and the finale they came up with was awesome. they did a decent job wrapping up the storyline too especially when they were in a midst of cancellation....

I hope so too, because at present days it's unacceptable to offer this show on DVD at Fullscreen and Mono Audio, when it has filmed and broadcasted at Widescreen and Stereo Audio.

Funny you should mention that Ultra.
Years have passed and no album.
Aimee Allen got so screwed by her record company. There is another gal with the same name, but it's not her on Amazon.
She had two promo releases. The promo full album and promo single. Man I wish I had those.

Chris, basicly 16:9 Widescreen Anamorphic means that the picture on the DVD is rectangular with a wide aspect ratio, as it was filmed and intended for viewing, which is ideal for Widescreen TV sets, as it will fill their screens with no presence of black bars, or reduce them to a minimal in the case of films with even wider aspect ratios.
But 4:3 Fullscreen Letterboxed means that the original wide film is embedded into a square picture with top and bottom black bars that can't be removed, just like on VHS with widescreen presentations. Of course if you're viewing your DVDs on a CTR TV set, you wouldn't notice if the film is 16:9 Widescreen Anamorphic or 4:3 Fullscreen Letterboxed.
But when viewing 4:3 Fullscreen Letterboxed on Widescreen TV sets, the picture will not fill the screen as it will be surrounded by thick black bars (unless you zoom the picture but resolution will be compromised)

I watched this show when it premiered (hey, the whole Batman/Catwoman's daughter thing is a great premise), way before I became a Smallville's fan...
I would have to agree with them taking a lot of freedom with the story, and not making it a little more realistic, or more in line with the comics...
So, the show was OK at the beginning, got way better towards the end, really hated that it was cancelled. Chris, House M.D. Season One DVD R1 is not 16:9 Widescreen Anamorphic, is 4:3 Fullscreen Letterboxed.
I don't know what anamorphic means.

I wished this set included deleted scenes form the pilot, the 5 minute WB promo for the series, and the original pilot which had a different actress as Harley Quinn
yes Dina Meyer was very lick-able.
cool series, not very good at the beginign, i love Dina Meyer (Batgirl/oracle)

Yes, it's a Batman spin-off. It features Batgirl and the Huntress. How could you now know that if you watched the show?!?!
The Huntress is the daughter of Batman and Catwoman.

Yeah, well lots of failed series are on DVD. I am glad this one had made it.
No, it's not a joke to whoever asked that. This show aired the year after Smallville premiered.

In my opinion Birds of Prey started poorly but got better as the series developed. In all honesty I'm not sure how good the series was but I definitely would like to see it again. I've been waiting years for a chance to see it on DVD, so if it's the cash in on the new Batman movie, who cares? it's being released.
Now if only other studios would follow suit by releasing other short lived shows... Jeremiah season 2 cough cough MGM cough cough.

YES!!! About effing time this thing came out on DVD. So picking it up.
Wow, talk about being late for DVD release. Looks like the "Dark Knight" movie was the only selling argument to release this series. Even though running only 13 episodes in length, I thought it was solid enough for more than what it finally got in terms of public reception. It's not "Catwoman", but it's not "Batman Begins" either...

I watched some of this show all those years ago and I liked it. Had they given it some more time I'm sure it would have found its place creatively and a stable audience. Although the funny part is that the Gotham Girls animated short series (an extra on this release) is actually better than the show lol. I may buy this when it's on sale one week at Best Buy for $19.99.
Whoa I remember this show! It's been a long time since I saw this.
It was slightly based on a comic (which is good), and changed a lot of the ideas around, so it could 'work' on tv. It had a cast full of hot actresses, and had potential, but no one writing it seemed to know where to take it, or what to do with it. It was not bad, it just never stood a chance of surviving.
I am a sucker for all things comic book related, so I will be buying this.

I watched two episodes of this when it premiered. It stunk.
PASS!
PASS!
I got a bootleg of this show about 3 years ago, and the episodes were in widescreen, this fullscreen c**p must be an error on Warner's part. And by the way bgerard, "House" season 1 is in widescreen here.
WAIT A MINUTE! 4:3 FULLSCREEN?! I hope it's an info error, because that show was filmed and transmitted in WIDESCREEN, just like big brother's show Smallville, and it's insulting that at present day anyone still wants to offer us fullscreen releases when they were filmed widescreen (like Universal's DVD release of House M.D. Season One) if the information is correct, sadly I'll pass on this release.
I've heard rumors of that this show actually existed, but I didn't believe they were true!
I really liked the show and it sucks that it ended where it did. Does the comic follow the same plot line (for those who say the show and know how it ended...) Either way I'll be grabbing this at some point this year.
I sort of want to check this show out, but that "3 days before The Dark Knight!" is really making me question the quality of the show if cashing in on TDK is the only way they think they can sell it...
It had some promise however they took ALOT of artistic license so it really wasn't in the same canon as Batman - characters were different, backgrounds were different, powers (Dinah) were different. If they would've stuck with how the characters are in the comics it would've been alot better.
Never heard of this. Sounds like a joke. Wtf is it about?
Wow. I'm in shock that this show is finally coming to DVD. I hope all the music is intact - especially the kick *ss theme song "Revolution" by Aimee Allen.
And just to clarify, Taylor, the cover image is a reprint of the original promo art for the series, and the series was released a whole year before Underworld. So if anyone is reminiscent of anyone, Underworld's theatrical poster was reminiscent of the original Birds of Prey promo art.
