Sony Pictures Home Entertainment has announced DVD ($24.96) and Blu-ray ($34.95) releases of Black Dynamite for the 16th February. Extras will include a Filmmaker and Cast Commentary, Deleted and Alternate Scenes, a Making-of Featurette, and a Comic-Con Experience featurette. We've attached the official package artwork for each release below:

Synopsis

Quote: An all-star cast led by Michael Jai White is featured in this 1970's-style blaxploitation action fiilm about the legendary super crime fighter "Black Dynamite." The Man killed his brother, pumped heroin into local orphanages, and flooded the ghetto with adulterated malt liquor. Saw it opening weekend. One of my favorite comedies of this year. Cannot wait to pick up the Blu. The black background and extra characters on the cover are hurting me deeply.

This had some brilliant moments but overall the joke was dragged out too long during the end. But definitely deservered a wider audience than just land in the DVD bin after a year.

The trailers for this movie were some of the funniest I've ever seen. God, I wanted to see this movie sooooooo badly, but it never came out anywhere near the area where I live. This film is a must-have for any 70's blaxsploitation fanatic. Definitely going Blu for this one. First day purchase for me. Wow, it comes out the day before my birthday too! Perfect timing!
