The only extra material on the DVD release will be a Metamorphosis: A Three-Part Series feature which takes a behind the scenes look at the filmmaking process from Darren Aronofsky’s visionary directing, to the physically-demanding acting, to the stunning special effects. The Blu-ray release will include that, along with 3 additional features ("Behind the Curtain", "Ten Years in the Making", "Cast Profiles – Roles of a Lifetime"). We've attached the package artwork for each of the releases below:

This has some good legs in the box office but I will wait for it on Netflix as I still want to see it sometime.
Natalie Portman's best role ever. First day purchase for me.One of the best films of 2010.
Natalie's performance is just stunning. She's pretty much a lock for the Best Actress Oscar, which I'm sure Fox will amend the DVD and Blu covers if she wins.
I still havent seen this movie, or any of the other big "Oscar movies". Not because i dont want to, I REALLY DO, but because my local moviehouse NEVER screens these artsy movies... Only family movies or movies that are sure to be commercially successful! Isn't that sad? 
Wonderful artwork though! I like what FOX US does with their releases. There's no unnecessary bright blue banner at the top, with the words BLU RAY smacked on! Just a simple cool and (more importantly) small Blu Ray logo. They're finally starting to get it!
I hope the UK follows. They DONT need those horrible "Triple Play" and "Quadruple Play" labels, just look at the back!

It was good and it would be very sweet if the inside covers for both DVD and bds have different color slipcovers. For example if the bluray case is white then thhe slipcover would be black and vise Vera. It'd be a nice touch
Love this artwork, glad they're using the cover image. However, this poster would've made a cool artwork.

My favorite film of 2010. I absolutely loved this movie to death. I seriously wish I could see this movie 34 times in a day. I want to see it so badly again.
DEFINITE DEFINITE buy. Portman gave it her all, and so did everyone involved. Perfect acting. Perfect direction. Perfect pacing. Perfect script. FAN-TASTIC.
However, one thing I do want to note: Does anyone else think this movie was a little too sexual?
Spoiler I would think groping, touching, 2 masturbation scenes, a full-out lesbo session, and a sex scene is a bit overkill.

Tell me about it! The budget of this movie is $13 million, yet it raked in (so far) nearly $84 million. That's 6 times its budget! As strange as this sounds, I would LOVE LOVE LOVE to see a sequel. But ONLY directed by Darren Aronofsky and have everyone return.

Loved this movie. Don't care for the DVD art though, prefer it with the white background like the Blu-Ray.

EXCELLENT movie. amazing performances from all (Barbara Hershey as usual is superb as is the rest of the cast!). and i LOVE how the DVD cover and BR cover have different background colors! i love the black over the white but both are awewsome!
oh and Portman DEFINITELY should win Best Actress for this!

I LOVED this movie! I usually don't see artsy movies like this, but I got dragged to see it and was amazed by how much I enjoyed it. I saw it another time in theaters, and can't wait to watch it again and again on DVD.
I love the background for the blu--ray cover too.

I can't understand how you could love this movie to death yet have to decency to demand a completely unnecessary (and futile) sequel. You're asking the movie to betray itself, rendering the events that unfolded throughout the story utterly meaningless if you wish to see certain characters return in a hypophetical sequel. It would be disgraceful towards the film itself and towards the fans (which you claim yourself to be) who adore this movie for what it is already, a work of art.

What I meant by too sexual is that some scenes in this movie were really unnecessary and totally felt out of context.
Spoiler for example, the lesbo scene was really uncalled for. did there have to be that much moaning and rythmic movement? it served as no point other to be steamy. The masturbation scene was necessary because that was Nina's "assignment", but the groping/touching felt out of context.

Wow dude, calm down. And yeah, I love the film, and would like a sequel. So that doesn't make me a fan? And no, a sequel wouldn't ruin this movie if done right. Look at The Godfather. Look at Alien & Aliens. Look at Back To The Future. All movies with great sequels.

You're literally just naming random movies that had great sequels, you could argue that The Shawshank Redemption could use a sequel just because *see above* had great sequels.
But what you're overlooking are the plethora of sidestories those movies have to offer within that universe, the Godfather has so many complex characters to feed off throughout an entire century, the Alien franchise has no limits considering it takes place in outer space, BTTF has time-traveling, allowing them to explore any time in history and putting their own spin on in with two clueless scientists from the now.
And then you have Black Swan, the story about a young, frail girl who just wanted to excel on the stage as a ballerina. I'm sorry but Black Swan said all it needed to say with this one film. Anyone wanting, asking or wishing for a sequel on this tale is spitting right in the face of all those involved of this lovely, stand-alone production.

In that spirit, lets's have a sequel to THELMA & LOUISE! First scene would show Thelma and Louise hanging from a branch on the side of the cliff, and Geena Davis saying to Susan Sarandon: "Geez, Louise, that was close!"
And what about COOL HAND LUKE? That would lend itself for a great sequel, too!
But since this is Aronofsky we are talking about, what better than REQUIEM FOR A DREAM 2!! I can see the poster already: "Just when they thought the couldn't get higher..."

Best film of 2010! If there's a better one I haven't seen it yet. Maybe I'll like BLUE VALENTINE better when I see that. But for now, this is it. Simply mesmerizing. I've seen it three times and will go at least one more time. Definitely a Blu-ray purchase. I'm glad the Blu-ray has the white background, which I prefer.
As for the notion of a sequel, well, that's just insane. This is a stand-alone movie. A sequel would be ridiculous.

I liked this movie but it didn't quite crack my top 10 of the year. If it weren't for Aronofsky's artful treatment, this would just be a silly genre movie with ballet. Some character development would've helped too, and a little less of the tedious back-and-forth between reality and insanity. But absorbingly bleak world and Portman's performance were enough to saved it for me, and I'd love to see her take home the Oscar.
