missed it in theaters, but heard it was great. I'll probably rent first, then possibly buy.
I was pretty impressed by this. I remember in 6th grade when all the girls loved Di Caprio cause Titanic. I thought it was ridiculous, but now I really do like this guy and his acting. Well done.
Where's the artwork?
This movie was only released here in Ireland TODAY! I think I'll wait for the DVD
I was one of the few people that saw it in theatres, and I have to say, it's pretty good. Great acting and action scenes, but it started to drag a bit in the last 15 minutes. I'll still buy it though.
I really wanted to see this but never got around to it. I heard very good things. I will get the Two-Disc Special Edition.
Was shocked to see it get 5 Oscar Noms tho.

Just saw this 2 days ago in cinema. I thought it was really good. Will be probably getting the 2 disc set :D
Another excellent film from Zwick. Also Leo just keeps getting better and better. This and "The Departed" were among some of my favorites from last year. 2 Disc for me.
Incredible...Polish cinema premier was just today..i'm goin to see it tomorow....teh DVD premiers come faster and faster nowdays.
Leo - great actor
Djimon - great actor
BD - HUGE disappointment
I find it astonishing that this got so many Oscar nominations, all of which could have gone to better movies, like The Departed and Casino Royale.

Amazing film, Edward Zwick knows how to emotionally connect with his audience. The rap song at the end hurt the final impact of the film, but James Newton Howard's score was amazing. The film was perfectly edited and had the right flow, I called a nomination for editing and it actually got it. One of the few movies that made me cry this year. I'm sure it will get a Blu-ray release since Warner is good about doing both HD-DVD and Blu-ray. Universal needs to wake up and stop with the just HD-DVD, cause I own a PS3 and I want some films from Universal.
Awesome movie & can't wait for this release!!!
This movie was amazing Leo and Djimon should get the oscar for this. Leo should have gotten it last year for the Aviator so maybe this year he will win. I can honestly say he is one of my favorite actors now with catch me if you can, gangs of new york,Aviator, departed and now this brilliant movie.
meh. at least the music was nice. if I didn't know any better I would have sworn one of the remote control boys did it

It's a farce that Casino Royale got no recognition at all. But I've heard good things about this, and while DiCaprio probably won't win this year (Forest Whitaker seems to have it all-but sewn up) it's not gonna be long before he bags himself an oscar. He just keeps growing and growing as an actor.

The Aviator came out in 2004 and was in the 2005 Academy Awards, not last year.

Edward Zwick is the master of the "Thank God For White People" film. I liked The Last Samurai, but that aspect of the film made me pretty uncomfortable. Same goes with this. And that atrocious accent Leo's sporting is enough to make my short curlies straight.
Wow! An actual audio commentary on a Warner Brothers DVD!!

WHAT?!?!?! This gets a commentary and The Departed/The Fountain don't?!?!

Very powerful great film with a message that should not be forgotten. What makes this movie so heavy is the fact that everything is true. The situation being life in some parts of Africa.Great human message.Leo,Djimon and Connelly are fantastic in this too.
Definitly alot more than an action movie probubly why Leo got nominated for this instead of The Departed. The Departed is great but I wouldn't call it a more important film than Blood Diamond.

I really enjoyed this movie.
Why wasn't this movie and Children of men nominated for best picture of the year instead of Babel and Little Miss Sunshine? It's definately the best of the films nominated for an Oscar this year. I would have loved to see Tideland get some love, but oh well...
i actually enjoyed the movie, I liked his last movie being the last sumari. but I thought this should have been nominated for more awards especially best pic. I thought this was better than the departed amd little miss sunshine. leo is also better in this film than the departed.i will be picking up the two disc as well as the two disc of the departed. I am just glad that warner bros continues to give the consumer the option of buying a single or two disc of the more bigger movies out there. I got superman, posidean two disc. v for vendetta, unlike fox who is known for their double dipping procedure.

Nice looking special features, and the movie did pique my interest, but I just never got a chance to see it. Will probably pick this one up, based on the talent involved.
It was a pretty by-the-numbers flick, not to say it was bad, but you could pretty much tell what's gonna happen next.
However, the performances were all excellent, and I hope that either Hounsou or DiCaprio get some Oscar lovin', although I doubt it would actually happen.

Missed it in regular theatres. But I'll see it when it comes to my 2nd-run theatre. And then I'll probably buy this.
Thought this was great and was disappointed that it didn't get a best picture nomination. Definately getting the two disc.
