That was a quick announcement. Didn't this just open in the UK last week? Wonder if there will be an Asian dvd release first since it opened in theaters there a couple of months ago. Still no sign of it in theaters in central Texas.

Nah, I saw it in early June.
Dieing to see this.
What did you think of it, Chris?
I'm not Chris, but I saw this in July and thought it was actually pretty decent. I went in with extremely low expectations, with this being a live-action anime adaptation and all, but was pleasantly surprised. My only complaints were the slightly sub-par acting performances from the Western actors and the cheezy overuse of CGI blood spray, but that comes with the territory in these hyper-stylized live-action anime movies......Eagerly awaiting a US release date for this.
And Gianna Jun looks extremely sexy in the film, wielding that sword. I'm sure Mr. Gould would agree.

I went in with low expectations and it exceeded them. The performances weren't anything to write home about (seeing ex-Eastenders actors in a film is never good), but it was reasonably entertaining. The ending was a bit off though.
Yes, the Korean lass was fit. Couldn't they find any Japanese actresses though?

Suppose they could have, but IIRC, this film was made specifically for her as a star vehicle to help her eventually crossover to doing American films.

She's certainly easy enough on the eye.
Korean Actress in Blood Vampire
I have always liked this Korean actress, name she uses in her Korean films is Jeon Ji-hyun. One of them was a horror film called "Uninvited" which I really enjoyed and she was also in "Il Mare" (Korean version much better than U.S. remake). I look forward to seeing her in this film, blu-ray will be the way I go for this one.
I am a fan of the anime but this film was a stinker, the effects were bad and the acting bad as well. For those people who want to see this I would say rent it
Haven't seen this yet and from reviews above looks like I do need to see it.....
The anime was only ok for me though...
