Being the rabid anime fan that I am, I already have this and both DVD releases of Ghost in the Shell. If the picture is a crystal-clear 1080p and the audio gets an upgrade to Dolby TrueHD, I might consider double-dipping....

This is like showing at my theater for like one night one or something. Doesnt look that interesting. Skip.
Dumbass.
The original 'standard definition' extra is a bit misleading. What you actually get is two 1080p versions of the film, one telecined and the other digital. The digital version is cleaner with slightly better colours and definition. The MA track is pretty atmospheric, but dialogue is way too low in the mix for my liking though.

I don't understand why they would put a telecined version on a BD alongside a digital one. So that one looks more filmlike? Wasn't this a digital production?

Highres artwork added...
Nice artwork. Simple & effective.
Does that say 48 minute runtime? I don't think I'd pay Blu-ray prices for less than an hour of movie.
