Although I think the director Ti West is an amazing director, I am skipping this one. Lionsgate pretty much re-shot the entire film without West's approval and then released it without him knowing, he has stated the movie now looks like every other Lionsgate hack job and certainly is not the movie he shot, be warned.

Lionsgate did not do any reshooting, just re-editing. West did take his name off the project. Reviews out of TIFF (or Fantastic Fest, I forget which) were mixed to positive and said it's still an extremely weird film.
As much as I'm unsure about Eli Roth, it would have been nice to have seen him direct the sequel.

Yeah, it'd be nice to see him back
I think this sequel will still be good though. It would be worse if Rider Strong didn't return

Actually, I believe most the film is what Ti West shot, but the ending is totally new and not his. Heard the ending is weak but everything else is pretty decent.
I'm stoked no matter what.

Cool
Ti West directed one of the best of 09 (The House of the Devil), so I'm looking forward to this even though he apparently called this film an abortion after Lionsgate got their hands on it.

King, why would you be a jerk to the editor?
Also, I hated the first one and based on the STV factor and the awful cover art....I'd have to be forced to sit through this.

I agree with Dogville, why would you be disrespectful and immature to the editor? After all, he created this website, he posted this information, and he got the artwork. I don't need to pick on you, but please, just leave this board. First, you said Halloween 2 was better than any Steven Spielberg or Stanley Kubrick flick. Then you said the picture quality of Blu-ray sucks just because you can't afford it, and now you even insult the editor. I really didn't think trolls would sink this low.
