One of the few films I'll never, ever watch. It's disgusting, shameful, and inhumane. The cover art is a disgrace as well.

So is the reasoning that someone probably ate the turtle, so that doesn't need cutting? 'Cause I'm pretty sure nobody actually ate the turtle.

Or maybe just watched bits of it and thought it looked s**t?

I'm curious about the 'new edit'. I'm thinking that perhaps that's code for 'censored version'. Also amused by the use of 'original film' to describe the other cut.
Get the Grindhouse Deluxe DVD (R0) from a few years back... it's totally uncut and if you really don't want to see the animals dying there's a seamless branching option within the main menu to watch it with these scenes missed out. As for that animal cruelty comment, apart from the meerkat scene which I will admit is a tough watch, i honestly ddon't see how the other animal deaths are anything but killing for food - they are shown killing, cooking/eating the kills... how is this any different to when you go to your local McDs!!?? You just miss seeing the slaughter of the cow/prep of of the meat. Anyways... for anyone who thinks it's s**t you've clearly missed the point. In short, it's a masterpiece with a very strong social message - but at the same time a f**king difficult watch. Worthy of being in any true horror fans collection but avoid this Shameless release!
It's a magnificent piece of work, but it's cut, Gabe.

What is going on with that packaging? Bad design choices aside, it actually stings my eyes and causes me pain.
God knows. I've seen bits of it over the years and it looks s**t.
This is still cut in the UK, right?
