Is anyone like me and afraid these recent marvel releases are going to get double-dipped in the new future? Is double-dipping an ancient and tired practice now? The commentaries are welcome additions but beyond that, these releases seem light or is that just me being a greedy consumer? Nowadays the only incentive I have to buy any newly released film is whether or not any of the gimmicky retail exclusives are any prettier and better packaged than the standard release.
*Near. And complaining about the cover art is very much a "seeing the forest for the trees" type of thing these days. It's akin to complain about terrible cgi in films, when the cgi has been terrible for about the last 10 years or so. So, instead of whining about the legitimate terrible cover art, How about focusing on the quality of the film itself, the disc, and the features therein? Shouldn't it be these things that we focus on instead the aggressively superficial need for the cover to look nice? You know, the things behind the cover?

This was probably the worst and most boring Marvel adaptation in a while. The only thing worth it was Chris Evans' sexy body.
LOL no that whole nonsense drove me crazy, it was too much, i have to care but after a while it lost me. I wish somebody would dream me up a better movie.

Wow dvds get screwed again ok that's it I guess I am going Blue ray I have an 47 inch Hd tv so I guess I have to make the change

A dream within a dream, within a dream, within a dream and possibly within a dream isn't fun?

Captain America, Xmen, First Class and Thor were my favorite superhero movies of the summer. I can't wait to revisit it on Blu ray again. 3 out of 4 thumbs up from comic book movies makes it a great year to be a comic geek.
This film was just okay, nothing special. The ending was disappointing. Captain America is no Batman. Joe Johnston is no Christopher Nolan. Hayley Atwell is a goddess though.
Captain America Is Better Than Batman Begins An Dark Knight
I wish they used the 3D art for the 2D and DVD
Best superhero movie of the summer. Will be getting it on release day...
That's funny someone remembers Hollywood homicide, thought that was mostly forgotten. It'd be cool if the slipcover could be an alternate cover art from the main one, like they did with dark knight. I still like the 2d case tho
Too bad the 3D cover wasn't the standard cover. I've always liked that artwork. Will buy on Blu, though. Seems interesting, but what I'm waiting for is "The Avengers" film. I feel all the effort will go to that rather than the characters' individual films.
I thought this was easily the best super hero film of the summer and I'm not sure if I'm in the twilight zone, but the DVD/Blu-Ray combo art is awesome.
Not the worst artwork that I've ever seen (*Cough* Hollywood Homicide *Cough*).... but I'm still not digging it. It seems like the top artwork is trying to invoke some sort of "Indiana Jones" nostalgia, yet still manages to miss the mark. The bottom artwork is a lot better, but for some odd reason, I wish they would've left his helmet on.
I loved this, one hell of a villain and solid all around, will buy 2d bluray for sure. I hope thhe features are good. I like the cover art but they had much better options to choose from. I really liked thhe retro style poster they had
definitely a good movie! i was surprised at how enjoyable it was.
Terrible art on the DVD and BD Combo pack. I didn't get around to seeing it in theatres. Not sure If I'm going to buy it or just give it a rent and see.
And Paramount keeps that fugly art for the DVD release and Blu-ray combo pack. Why can't they use that Blu-ray 3D artwork for all three releases?
Saw this one on 3D...it's above average and fun. Its "retro-high-tech" visual feeling seems ripped-off from Sky Captain and The World of Tomorrow. What disappointed me the most was that the few war scenes are shown as part of a quick montage...
The more I think about this one, the less I like it. It never quite got me excited about what was happening on the screen, and the overly digital nature of the action was a turn off. Still, Evans did a great job, and some of those Joe Johnston period details were mighty appealing. It made me want a Rocketeer update.
I missed this in theaters. But you can't really blame me, there was literaly a new movie every weekend this summer. Anyways, I heard good things about this movie and I LOVE superhero movies, so I'll buy it on blu-ray. I really want to see the sneak peek it has for The Avengers.
I enjoyed this one.
Hopefully the final artwork for the DVD and Blu-ray combo pack won't be that atrocious art I saw on Amazon. They better use that teaser or final one-sheet artwork.
