Another case of 30 year old teens again.....
i was SO looking forward to this movie but it's NOT the least bit scary, disturbing or even a horror movie. it's a DRAMA and not really an engrossing one. ALL the "protagonists" are impossible to like. the kid who plays the younger brother of Pine's was a tad likable at first but his character douches out. it's not gory either. Chris Meloni is the ONLY engrossing person/character in this and he is only in it for about 15 minutes. a BIG letdown.
I liked this quite a bit. Pine and Pucci really gave strong performances. Nothing much happens, but it's creepy.
I really liked this film, bit short but i really enjoyed it. Shame there's no Blu release.
F**k the Carries, bring on the Wild Things!
i watched it last night they must have cut some film out running time was only 84 minutes long, but it was a good film

Had potential and cool concept but they didn't make the most out of what they could. The suspense build up was great but then when it hits it's peak, you really don't care for it. I'm not saying anyone shouldn't watch this movie. Give it a try if you want, the only positive thing I liked about this movie was Chris Pine's performance. He's really proving himself to be a good actor.
His performance would be one of the redeeming qualities. Other than that, the film was dry. The ending definitely left me wanting more of a resolution.

Definitely going to Netflix but the artwork is godawful. I swear, it's like the filmmakers were in a rush and hired three year olds for the job. It is just so atrocious. Why not use the theatrical poster? I'm also disappointed there's no Blu-ray. Even Without a Paddle 2 (a straight-to-video flick), got a BD simultaneously with the DVD on the same release date.

Yes, the director did cut the film for a PG-13. Albeit, don't get too worried. The people that caught the flick in its theatrical run said that an R rating would be redundant for a film like this and they meant that in a positive way. While the critics didn't see this (hence the limited theaters), people that saw it said it was terrifying.

Although featuring fine performances by all involved, this was a disappointment for me as I was hoping for a horror film or thriller and it feels much more akin to a post-apocalyptic drama (and not a very satisfying one at that at least to me).
Still, worth a rental certainly.

Great film. But I have no idea why the trailers try and make it out to be a zombie film. 8/10
Interesting...
Of course Paramount is trying to cash in on Chris Pine's success as Capt. Kirk in Star Trek by releasing this movie. One-time rental for me.

Heard this was good. Will rent.
I loved this movie. It was released for rental yesterday. I want to buy it on Blu-ray whenever they decide to release it on Blu-ray.
With the hype surrounding Star Trek and Chris Pine, I'm surprised that Paramount only released this in limited theatres. Emily VanCamp isn't chopped liver either, she's on a hit ABC show Brothers and Sisters.
I'll definitely rent this.

It's available for rental right now, but it won't be available to buy until the 29th.
No Blu-Ray ???
This came out 12/8.
