I liked "Cars 2" to an extent. The first "Cars" was excellent. Gorgeous in looks, and in terms of plot and soundtrack. It was all there, and all geniune. This one is doesn't have the Pixar charm, but still, is worth watching.
Ignore him animate1377, he's a troll.
Matt Stilwell here is clearly a heartless and emotionless person. Im sorry to hear that your life is so bleak that you would actually label movies like Wall-E and UP as horrible movies. Sad really.

Isn't the DVD+Blu in a DVD sized box, and the Blu+DVD in a Blu-ray box? It's so people can have uniformity in their collection.
In the UK we got Fantasia like that, so for those who had all the Disney DVDs could get the combi but still have it at number 3 on their shelf.
Blu-ray cases aren't really that different.

I didn't mind the first Cars. It was Pixar's weakest film but I did get that whole "Route 66" vibe John Lasseter was aiming for, in which I really liked about. The cast was solid too. Not sure about this whole Cars-universe they got going. I was more focused on creating theories on how they exist and how the entire world functions as cars instead of focusing on the entire story.
Cars 2? This one had me thinking about Pixar's future, that's if there's gonna be one. Lightning McQueen was non-existent and I'm sure brain cells were murdered while watching Tow Mater for 2 hours. What a shame. Like a few of you on here, Cars 2 won't be sitting on my dedicated Pixar & Disney Blu-Ray shelf. First Pixar title I'm gonna skip on.

Wall E was one of the worst animated movies I ever saw. Certainly Pixar's worst, in my opinion. Should've been called Snore E...
Cars 2 was made only because John Lassiter was desperate to make another one. If it was up to Disney, I don't think it would've been made.

@IDLC - Well some people did not afford to get the first on Blu-Ray and still want to watch the second film on Blu-Ray but still complete their collection. After all, certain franchises, you can't have in different formats. That's the reason why I'm getting "Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides" in DVD + Blu-Ray rather than Blu-Ray + DVD, to still enjoy it in high definition but at the same time to complete the collection.
Well enough said, "Cars 2" was very different from the first. Still not as good as "Toy Story 3," but the short film was even more awesome. However, I am surprised that Pixar never released "Toy Story 3" on 3D Blu-Ray yet again 3DTVs are a waste of money. I didn't mind 3D in the theater when it was $4 extra yet again, I still wish it was $2 extra. Now, you have to pay so much extra just to see something in 3D and extra to see it in IMAX, but $1 extra from IMAX charge just to see it in IMAX 3D. So I'm literally not buying the 3D set for all I care. I ended up buying the first "Cars" on Blu-Ray and "Mater's Tall Tales," so it's likely I'll get the Blu-Ray + DVD for this one...unlike Pirates 4.
What's wrong with "neutral" packaging?

You hated all those movies!?!?!?! To each their own but how can you hate "Wall-E". That had more emotional depth and character study than half of some of the movies nominated for the Oscars.

Anyways, about the movie, I liked it but I didn't LOVE it. I liked the first Cars movie as well, but I didn't LOVE it like other Pixar movies. I never knew Pixar was capable of making a flop...
Don't watch this movie....

Seriously, he spends the first part of this movie wrecking everything and causing trouble for everyone else, but by the end, he's told that he's perfectly fine the way he is. Great message there parents!
Fun Fact. Not only is this going to be Pixar's lowest grossing movie, it's also going to be the first movie not to make back it's budget domestically. So why make a Cars 2? Go by any toy section at a store and see for yourself. The original Cars merchandise outlived every single Pixar film that came after it. That's it.
You guys are ridiculous! I think we can all agree that "Cars 2" wasn't a good movie. But was it okay for what it was? Yes. Just because it has Pixar attached to it means you should expect perfection every. single. time. I liked the film because of its sheer simplicity and it was just some lighthearted fun

I don't, but I have it - albeit on DVD. At least 92% of all released Disney titles get a spot in my collection.

I hated this movie, I did like the first one and was sad to admit this sucked. It was confusing(especially for young ones) but also too much mater.
Pixar's worst film since "A Bug's Life" and the first "Cars."
I pray "Brave" and "Monsters University" will be so much better.

I don't know if it's a "trick", seeing as both boxes are clearly labeled. But yeah, the idea is to sell a Blu-ray disc to both markets.
What's the point of having both "DVD + Blu-ray" and "Blu-ray + DVD" sets? To trick people into buying Blu-ray?
The first?
You actually own Cars?
Eeeek.

The first Pixar movie that won't have a place in my collection.
Well that certainly was quick! But I'm still wondering what's taking Disney so long to release Toy Story 3 on BluRay 3D?!?!
