such a great film! not as good as the incredibles though, but the animation is spectacular.

I saw it and was disappointed. I'll give it another try on DVD, but I won't be going all out on this except to add to my kid's collection.
Disappointing extras. All the other Pixar releases have been 2 disc editions with much more special features.
Missed at the theaters but I'll blind buy as I love all things Pixar.
I was not as impressed with this movie as all the other Pixar releases, but it seems like this fim is one of those flicks that may improve with future viewings. Visually it was nice, the voices were good, story was good, I liked it, but it did not hit all the marks for some reason. The only thing I did not like in the entire film was the line "Get 'er done" bing shoved in there. A definate purchase, but I would like a 2-disk release like all the other Pixar DVDs I have.
a little disapointed but still great fun. no match for "over the hedge" or "ant bully" which no one saw
I never saw "Cars". But I will. I love Disney/Pixar movies. But hold on, this is a standard single disc DVD release. That is actually quite shocking. Disney/Pixar awlays release massive 2-Disc Collector's Editions of their films. I was expecting nothing less with this film. That is very dissapointing. Its the second higest grossing film of the year, give it the DVD release it deserves. The same goes for Fox's "X-Men: The Last Stand" DVD. They better not jip us on the release of "Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Man's Chest" so help me.
I can't believe Disney is making this a one-disc set. Doesn't John Lasseter have enough power (or Steve Jobs) to make this a two-disc? I guess the truth is, Disney will only give a recent film a 2-disc only if it's a smash hit at the box office whether or not it's Pixar.
I'll pass. No film that features Larry the Cable guy in any capacity will get a cent of mine.
GREAT movie, GREAT animation. Like said before, not as good as my favorite PIXAR film INCREDIBLES. I'll be adding it to my collection. Very disapointed in the single disc release. Every other PIXAR films is a 2 disc set. Not sure why they are doing this.
I would have liked a documentary on the research they did about route 66 and all the cars they looked at to get to the designs in the films. The ART OF CARS books makes it seem like there is tons of stuff of the pre production of this film.

I also did not see Cars in the theater. I decided to wait for the DVD. I am pretty sure that a 2-disc collectors edition will be forthcoming. Buena Vista just wanted to get this out for the holidays so that they can put the numbers on this years books. Most likely see the 2-disc'r sometime in March '07.

Let's not get started on the whole LARRY THE CABLE GUY c**p. He is just a voice actor in a family animated film. It's has nothing to do with him or his comedy.

this was not like any other disney movie... I didn't like 'The Incredibles' so much, so I'm not waiting for this to be a 'HIT'
i'll addd it to my collection anyways

I´m sure the Region 2/4 will be getting a 2-Disc with DTS. They have always released Pixar's movies in excellent fashion.

I concur.
I concur.
I will tell you the main issue with this film, the run time. At 1hr 56mins, this baby was 20mins too long. Nemo was at 1hr 44mins and The Incredibles clocked in at 1hr 55mins. Disney & Pixar seem to think they are making films for folks with long attention spans all of a sudden.
You make a G-rated movie that is 2hrs long you are going to loose half the audience if there isn't a lot of fireworks. Disney/Pixar need to scale back down to the Toy Story/2 running times. Amazing those stories are their most beloved and they are 90mins or less.

I concur.wow thats sad I mean if he was only in it for 5 secodns you would still pass on the movie look I dont judge the people who play there parts I judge how the movie was and I thought this was verry good not as good as incredibles or nemo but its deffinlty a good film weather it would have had lary in it or not

Pfft. Good movies are always the exact length they should be.

This movie was too long, for kids, and surprisingly short on action, and very "chatty". Kids just don't sit still long enough for this kind of stuff. Visually it was a great achievement, but definately one of the weaker titles to come out of Pixar. And when your main audience is children, these things need to be accounted for. I love animation, but heading into the film, I knew the running time would be a problem, and it was. I will Netflix this title for sure, and whats the deal with a 30 dollar price tag?
Well i'm shocked that a single disc is all we get for now...I actually liked this movie and thought it was better than the incredibles!
I'll wait for this. Was a $63m opening weekend not enough to warrant a 2-disc set?
"Ratatoullie" is on my list for next year.

This movie was way too long!! I took my godson for his first trip to the movies. Halfway thru, I was hoping he would have a fit so we could leave. I was extremely bored unlike with the rest of the Pixar movies.
I hated this movie. It was boring and burdened with the most immature humor to date for a Pixar film. Had Dreamworks released this same film, I doubt anyone would have loved it so much.
I believe a 2 disc set will more than likely happen....just wait...
I can see anything from Pixar. I definitely saw Cars. I saw it twice, and I can't wait for it to come out on DVD. Must-buy.
Really liked this one, but not Pixar`s best one. Will be getting it for sure, but was hoping for a 2 disc set. REally hope it`s still gonna happen...
Didn't see it, seemed very juvenile to me. I mean, I just don't see myself being entertained by talking cars. Usually animation films don't center around inanimate objects. I think it's easier to process a talking animal than it is a car, you know what I mean? Sure Toy Story were inanimate objects, but they had human qualities that were relatable. I just don't see it natural to slap on facial features on something that doesn't have them in the first place is all. Good for kids, not for me.

Fair enough. I don't like cars. I don't like racing, and I've already seen this movie in about a thousand Chevron commercials. Come on, Pixar, is this the best idea you could come up with? Talking cars with eyes for windshields?

I thought that Cars was one of the better pixar movies.
