I believe they have already filmed all 10 episodes for this season, thus it's safe for ABC to announce the DVD release.
Absolutely love this show! Glad its at least being released on DVD, unlike Nathan's 2007 axed show "Drive." Here's hoping they're smart enough to renew it for a second season. Oh, and I like the artwork. Could be better, but I'm happy enough with it.
I'm glad Nathan Fillion is finally in a show that is doing well (even if it's a procedural). The first few episodes seem promising, so let's hope this one sticks.
I hate to be a bummer in the room here, but as much as I like this show, and everything about it, I don't think it has a chance to survive. Everyone is great in it, but it is something staight out of the '80s in terms of originality, and delivery. I have watched them all, and will continue to do so, because I happen to like it, and I want to suport it, but I do not expect it to last, then again, maybe I could be wrong.

I heard on some entertainment show (can't remember if it was Entertainment Tonight or Access Hollywood), that this show is supposed to be like a "spiritual successor" to Moonlighting, the show that first catapulted Bruce Willis to superstardom.

ABS's verison of "Bones" but less funny & more predictable crimes. You would think it would have better rating with a lead-in from Dancing With The Stars
I like this show. Most mysteries are tired and old, and yeah this one is a bit too, but it makes fun of itself. Beckett puts her foot on a guy's hand as he reaches for a gun. She points hers at him and says "Try it. I need the practice". Castle quips to her "I need the practice? Not bad. Classic in a way."
I might pick this up and catch up some family members on it. I've also been watching first season of Moonlighting
