Awesome. Now there are two horror classics I must pick up this year. Faces of Death is the other one. I hope more great horror movies are announced.
It's about time.
Best news ever
WTF? Chucky commentary but no Dourif? Thumbs down to that.
I love Child's Play and cannot wait for this!!! Finally in widescreen...yeah!!!
Mono Track? eww...
Man, this is great that someone finally woke up and gave this movie a decent disc. Isn't it incredible that since the inception of DVD in the United States that we've never seen a widescreen version of 'Child's Play'? I mean, all of the c**ppy sequels were released WS, chalk-full of supplements, and even in boxed set form. Unbelievable. I actually bought 'Child's Play' last October because frankly I was tired of NOT having the film. I'm still a bit annoyed that Dourif and director Tom Holland are nowhere to be found on this. Oh, and no BLU makes Hulk angry.
tom holland did a commentary for 'thinner' but isn't doing one for 'child's play'? what on earth?
About time.
Mono Track? YES!
looks creepy... im afraid to watch this movie again, even though i own them all... im afriad to watch them again, chucky was on my nightmares when i was a kid... i still cant get over it... lol
The first one is good. The rest turned it into comedy and then parody. But the first one is scary and cool.
Thank God. Hooray for a widescreen transfer of this movie!!
needs to be on blu
ABOUT EFFING TIME for widescreen!
Quit your b|itchin about the Blu.
Cool! haven't got round to buying this yet but here's my chance!
Oh, fantastic! This is one of my favorite guilty pleasures! Too bad the sequels sucked, though.
My favorite horror movie ever. I freaking love this! I'll definately buy it.
Have the sequels but never bought the original because it was non anamorphic. This release has gotta be, even if it doesnt say it specifically. Definite buy, nice price too!
I like part 3 the best for sheer entertainment (dont kill me) but part 1 is the best movie, and scariest.

Its about time that Pumpkinhead and Child's Play get a widescreen transfer. I'll pick up both!
Widescreen... FINALLY. Glad I passed on getting it before now.
The kids love this movie.
DOn't generally like double dipping, but for widescreen, and the bonus features... I will gladly double dip.
I'm definitely getting the Child's Play: 20th birthday edition. I thught the movie was terrific. I love that it's in widescreen and the extra material is sweet. I'm picking this one up right away. $14.99 is a great deal and you can get it on amazon for $10.00. Here's the artwork:
