Child's Play is a great movie but all of the preceding Chucky movies are pure c**p...
Finally! No info in the subtitles and the release date on R2 ?
Widescreen!! Finally... "Child's Play" in all its SCOPE glory. (Although... I actually prefer "Child's Play 2" to the original.)
Chucky 1-3 is very outdated, I bought my copies awhile back and the movie just sucks now by todays standard....
I'd like to point out that the details don't indicate *anamorphic* widescreen.
nice shelves!

They're from IKEA, of course, being a Swede and all.
They're not available anymore though.

well least they didnt go with the "Don't F**k With The Chuck Edition"
They're saving that for the incredibly unneeded Special Edition for the third one.

Nice artwork.
Cool cover, very creepy pic of Charles. Not a bad special edition title. This will be a release day purchase for me, been waiting a long to add this to the collection. Should be cheap too!
Could have had better artwork.
Reasonable extras as well - great! Let's hope the spruce up the other releases of 2 and 3...
nice, I wouldn't mind a good edition of the Childs Play 2 & Bride of Chucky as well.

I believe you're referring to Child's Play 3? Nope, it's not banned anymore. I have all 5 of them on DVD - in Widescreen!!

Highres artwork added. Sorry for the delay
One word sold me to double dip on this, WIDESCREEN.
I'm definitely getting the Child's Play: 20th birthday edition. I thught the movie was terrific. I love that it's in widescreen and the extra material is sweet. I'm picking this one up right away. $14.99 is a great deal and you can get it on amazon for $10.00. Here's the artwork:

DOn't generally like double dipping, but for widescreen, and the bonus features... I will gladly double dip.
The kids love this movie.
Widescreen... FINALLY. Glad I passed on getting it before now.
Its about time that Pumpkinhead and Child's Play get a widescreen transfer. I'll pick up both!
Have the sequels but never bought the original because it was non anamorphic. This release has gotta be, even if it doesnt say it specifically. Definite buy, nice price too!
I like part 3 the best for sheer entertainment (dont kill me) but part 1 is the best movie, and scariest.

My favorite horror movie ever. I freaking love this! I'll definately buy it.
Oh, fantastic! This is one of my favorite guilty pleasures! Too bad the sequels sucked, though.
Cool! haven't got round to buying this yet but here's my chance!
Quit your b|itchin about the Blu.
ABOUT EFFING TIME for widescreen!
needs to be on blu
Thank God. Hooray for a widescreen transfer of this movie!!
The first one is good. The rest turned it into comedy and then parody. But the first one is scary and cool.
looks creepy... im afraid to watch this movie again, even though i own them all... im afriad to watch them again, chucky was on my nightmares when i was a kid... i still cant get over it... lol
Mono Track? YES!
About time.
tom holland did a commentary for 'thinner' but isn't doing one for 'child's play'? what on earth?
Man, this is great that someone finally woke up and gave this movie a decent disc. Isn't it incredible that since the inception of DVD in the United States that we've never seen a widescreen version of 'Child's Play'? I mean, all of the c**ppy sequels were released WS, chalk-full of supplements, and even in boxed set form. Unbelievable. I actually bought 'Child's Play' last October because frankly I was tired of NOT having the film. I'm still a bit annoyed that Dourif and director Tom Holland are nowhere to be found on this. Oh, and no BLU makes Hulk angry.
Mono Track? eww...
I love Child's Play and cannot wait for this!!! Finally in widescreen...yeah!!!
WTF? Chucky commentary but no Dourif? Thumbs down to that.
Best news ever
It's about time.
Awesome. Now there are two horror classics I must pick up this year. Faces of Death is the other one. I hope more great horror movies are announced.
it finally gets what it deserves but no blu-ray? awww thats too bad.
oh and 20th anniversary? damn i'm old. lol
