Wow - looks good. Still love the first one but - why can't they do an edition like this one for that? Maybe include a broken dog lead?

I could careless if European ever makes it to BD. I just hope at least Vegas Vacation and The original make it.

oh yeah thats a blu purchase for sure

Gonna get the BD. I can't wait for it. I like how the Bar at the top is green like The Incredible Hulk.

Where did you find it for that price??
All HMV stores in Canada.

I got the last special edition. This is my least favorite of the Vacation movies so there's no point in upgrading for me.
I'm happy with the version I bought for now but I'm not happy with the version of the first Vacation movie I bought and that was only 7 hours ago I purchased that.
Great holiday movie, but no thanks. The video transfer received mediocre reviews at best, and it doesn't sound like the actual movie will have anything different. I'll stick with my other BD copy for now.
I am pissed because they are just putting out the same disc without redoing it at all. I cannot understand why they would double dip and not redo the video and audio. Screw you WB I will not buy into this garbage tactic.
This is great, apart from the changed box art(I've been grown to the original cover) Marty Moose collectables? Perfect! I hope they do the same with the first Vacation and stuff it with Marty Moose stuff and postcards of the locations they've been to(please, no screen caps-like)
I love this movie, my all-time fav Xmas movie, but I recently picked up the Bluray on a sale at Suncoast for $15 new, I see why now. No worries though, I wouldn't have paid the big bucks for the extra c**p or different art, I like the other better.
Where is Vegas Vacation? We know we want that too.
This would be a must buy if it actually included some new extras.
The previous commentary track alluded to a few deleted scenes, while a still from one of them was actually included on the dvd case! Would it have been too much to track those down for this new version?
Chevy Chase's commentary for the European Vacation dvd may have been a little bland, but I'd still be interested in his thoughts on 'Christmas'. After all, it is the most popular of the Vacation sequels.
Hell, even the original Christmas `59 short story would've been something.

I love this movie -- watch it every Christmas -- but am a bit disappointed with this set. At first I thought they missed a great opportunity to include a moose mug like the one seen in the movie, but now I see it there in the picture, albeit a smaller version. There's so many other cooler things they could have done for the added junk -- fake snow?! coasters?! a button?! -- lame. They could have included a stuffed squirrel (SQUIRREL!!!), a battery operated snow globe with the Griswold's lit house in it, a snow globe with the Griswold's huge tree shoved inside it (little full, a lotta sap), a T-shirt (instead of the button) that says "I survived a Griswold Family Christmas", a Clark Griswold mini-bobblehead, a charred saucer sled tree ornament, a light up Griswold house ornament or miniature, a CD with songs from the great soundtrack, an ornament of a jello mold with cat food on it, an ornament of a dried up cracked open turkey, a gawdy Clark Griswold light up Christmas tie, a talking keychain or bobblehead of Aunt Bethany (don't throw me down, Clark), a replica of cousin Eddie's black dickey turtleneck ... I could go on and on here ...
Love the movie. still don't own it. don't care about the gimmick extra stuff that come with either version.

that's sorta the point of the release, just like they did last year with Christmas Story. its not meant to be a new release of the disc, just a little box set for christmas.

Hey, another green-ray disc :p
hmm it seems only the blu version has the cute little moose cup.
i'm definately getting this for my sis-in-law, she'll love it. :p

Might get the blu version.
a box of "faux snow"? Really??
No actual special features? So, the only actual upgrade for the DVD edition is an amaray case instead of a snapper, but with worse artwork? Think I'll pass if that's the case.
This is an absolute must buy!! That collectors gift set looks amazing. Anybody know whether Warner Blu ray work in the UK??
That's good. Now when will the OTHER films enter Blu-Ray?
