Fixed.
They had to get rid of Ling as a regular to cut costs as the overall budget was reduced.

I think you'll find that she had quite a following aside from me, although I had first dibs. I know why they got rid of her, but I'd rather they got rid of one of the other cast members over her.
Terrible, terrible season. It should've been cancelled after the second-to-last episode of the second season, which would've served as a great wrap-up overall, but the fans somehow manage to revive this whenever it's in the red zone.
Stopped watching since 3.13 after Superman died, but I've read he's somehow back on the show?

"No more Mr. Nice Spy?" *face palms* But really, the show isn't very good.
I love this show.. I actually just started watching about half way through this season. I didn't like the way the finale wrapped up by I think they shot two endings and when they discovered they were getting a fourth season they slapped that ending on..
I don't understand why this show is so popular. Bores the heck out of me. But Yvonne Strahovsk is sooooo sexy.

Actually, NBC ordered 13 episodes, which would have constituted the third and final season. Then, they were happy with the arc Schwartz and Fedak gave them and decided to order six additional episodes. So, episode thirteen was a series finale with a few revisions while the actual finale was made with a fourth season in mind.
But the ratings are getting lower, maybe due to the Ling-lessness of the show, so season four will likely be the final one and have 13 episodes.

Actually, there are nine episodes back ordered. So, depending if the ratings are stable, this won't be the last season and some NANCIES will STFU about how Shaw was going to break up Chuck and Sarah. The real fans brought the show back because they had faith in Josh Schwartz and Chris Fedak on keeping the show on course.

NBC was originally going to premiere Season 3 of Chuck in March 2010 after the Winter Olympics. But, their Fall season was a complete disaster. So, they needed more programming, so they ordered 6 more episodes in October of last year and the show premiered in January instead. Episode 13 was constructed as a season finale, not series. The back 6 episodes of season 3 were a new arc.
As for season 4, as of right now it's only 13 episodes, but there is a chance that could be expanded. But, the problem is Chuck's ratings have never been stellar (It gets 5-6M viewers a week), so it's a tough call whether or not season 4 will be expanded. Plus, Chuck is the lead-in for NBC's new show The Event this Fall and I'm sure NBC doesn't want a weak lead-in for their expensive new show.

It's popular because it's a quirky spy action comedy with a geek getting a hot girl.

Must have this! Chuck just goes from strength to strength, can't wait for Season 4.

LLLLOOOOVVVVEEEEE The show!!!!!! This season got really good! Love the entire thing!
One of NBC's only good shows. Always fun.
And Yvonne makes me proud to be Aussie, and Sydneysider, as she is too!! You go girl! I'll be picking this up as well. I'll also need to get Seasons 1 & 2 for my collection. I've already seen all the Episodes. Great fun on a Tuesday night (Australian AEST after I download each Episode)
