He's been in lots of serious stuff...... its funny to think about now that he's pretty much just in comedies and he acts like a retard hahaha. But yeah, he's been in a lot of other stuff.
I just find it funny that in most of his movies, he tends to make everyone laugh - even if he was being a retard for the fun of it. This film, he sounds like an incredible retard and for the worst reasons.

I don't think it's the seriousness that's the issue, it's that this is the completely wrong kind of serious for him. Reilly can be menacing/mysterious if he needs to, but not in that costume with that hair.

Well that's your opinion. Just go with your own opinion. No one's going to make you say/do something else.

I think I will blind buy this. I think it looked pretty good from the trailer. Reminded me a bit of the 80's Monster Squad. It looks 10 times more fun then Where the Wild Things are which was my biggest let down of the year.
Probably one of the most underrated, underappreciated films of the 2000's. Very entertaining movie. Will pick up the blu and hope that it does well in the foreign market so that we can see a sequel.

Tired of all the vamps lately.
GOD This looked bad...but heard some relatively positive things about it. May check it out...but probably wont...
Pretty bad movie. Willem Dafoe and John C. Reilly were miscast in their roles and the overall movie was lacking.
This got a pretty warm reception from everyone I know that saw it at Fantastic Fest, but then critics took a dump on it when it hit theaters. May give it a rent.
Ah jesus. Hell no. From what I saw in the previews, this film looked very, very ****ing retarded. Definitely going to pass on that one. My Blu-Ray dough is going for "Where the Wild Things Are."
Pretty mediocore film. Will pass
