I don't like the "Golden Compass" like artwork, but I still might check it out, though it wasn't marketed very well
City of C**p.
Lame artwork and pass!
Lame artwork, even lamer (lack of) features.
hmmm...so a reference to "Journey to the Centre of the Earth" is a positive thing?
shame theres no extras
Final artwork added...
Looks like the recent Jack and the Beanstalk type formulaic stuff
Worst movie I've seen within the last three years! Seriously, how come very kids sci-fi movie have to have an annoying curly redheaded tween? Is that like a new rule for fantasy (pseudo)-epics.
I watched it and it didnt really affect me either way, a little predictable but not too bad. My manager saw it with me (at the same time/showing not WITH me haha) and she said that it differs from the book a bit & odds are there will be sequels.

I imagine Harry Treadaway is glad to know the actual cover might spell his name correctly. Regardless of that, the cover just needs to be totally redesigned -- shoehorning in awful visual cues to invoke The Golden Compass and name-dropping s**t like Journey to the Center of the Earth is a terrible choice.
Another underrated film. Some poor CGI and a fairly simple story do nothing to hamper the absolute, dazzling visual magic on display here. Like Tim Burton or some of Brad Silberling's films, the movie has merit just on the strength of the production design, but Ember also has strong performances from Saiorse Ronan and Tim Robbins, and the twin six year olds.

Will be renting it. I like Saoirse Ronan (Atonement, I Could Never Be Your Woman).
i saw this in the theators and love it i will be buying it
This looked interesting, I may blind buy it on Bluray, you know there be a bluray. Visually it looked very cool.
Loved the movie, not as keen on the artwork.
Seems pretty rushed, =/

This didn't look that appealing to me. I hear the book is much better.
I LOVED the book, and I really enjoyed the movie.
Criminally underrated, and shamefully neglected. That's probably why the absence of a 2-disc set, Brendon. Even so, if there is any such thing, I'll be there with bells on.

Some of the greatest production design EVER commited to celluloid; an unusual plot that celebrates intelligence and creativity; some knock out performances.
One of the most underrated films of the year. Where's the appropriately lavish 2-disc set?

Simply a children's version of Logan's Run. Interesting concept and a fun movie that kid's definitely would enjoy. Nothing spectacular but entertaining and nice escape for 1.5.
I agree with kubrickf923 this was released pretty fast. I don't know. City of Ember really isn't my cup of tea. Rental at best. But if I miss it I'll just either watch it when it comes on HBO or just skip it.
I had to take a younger sibling to see this, and it wasn't too terrible. One could defiantely do worse than this.
heard really bad things about it, ill rent it. once more, no Blu-ray? kinda hard to think this wont get one. considering it was a big budget film and from Fox.
I missed this one. It doesn't look back from the previews.
Damn that was quick! I'll only see this because Fred Figglehorn won't stop talking about it.
I like Bill Murray. He's starred in some of my favourite films. Might blind buy this one.
