not a very good cover
Now this I will be buying.
Oh cannot wait for this release and for the remake!
sci fi movie of the week cover
Man I hope they release a standard dvd for this, I am sick of my old one.
Wow, the timing of the release for this, with God of War III for PS3 coming out at the end of March, is eerily reminiscent of when the theatrical release of 300 came out right around the same time as God of War II for PS2...
I've never understood the fascination for this particular movie but if Sony releases a second volume of the Ray Harryhausen collection including Jason and the Argonauts, I'll be first in line to buy it.
i might actually get this
WHY oh WHY oh WHY didn't they use that CLASSIC poster artwork for the cover?!?!? Man, it's decisions like this in the entertainment industry that really leave me scratching my head.
But regardless, good to see it on Blu-ray. WE NEED MORE HARRYHAUSEN ON BLU-RAY!!!

What timing!!! With the new one coming out in March too. Which looks amazing too. Now where is Jason and the Argonauts? Definitely looks like a must buy. I own one of the old releases.
YES! I was just talking to my fiancee about this the other day about how I was waiting to buy it on blu. Ha ha, my time has come!!
Now release Jason and the Argonauts?
Kind of a shame the remake looks too much like a standard, effects heavy action movie and not much like this one.

You do realize that was intentional, right? I hope you don't think it was a coincidence.

So now WB is cutting in the dvd releases already?! In time of crisis is a big mistake. Worst this BD edition is expensive, comes with the same extras as the old dvd edition, c**p cover and no restored/remastered film to this format.
So the only thing new is the booklet.
Bah! No buy for me.

Classic film ahead of its time
Pardon my ignorance, but isn't this a terrible movie? Bear in mind that I am going strictly off of heresay.
Obviously it's f**king awesome.
I’ve been looking around I recall this being mixed in Dolby stereo and thought they’d be 70mm six-track road show release of it. Nope its not on the list at the in-70mm site?
Still would be interesting what as been done to the Dolby stereo mix? I wonder if its got fake stereo surrounds which is the case on most Bluray titles today of classic old films.
I’ll consider this a possible buy from play.com for £11.00.
