Sony Pictures Home Entertainment has announced a Blu-ray release of Cliffhanger for the 12th January. The film will be presented in widescreen, along with a 5.1 DTS-HD Master Audio soundtrack. Extras will include a commentary with Director Renny Harlin and Sylvester Stallone, a Technical Crew Commentary, a movieIQ feature, a personal introduction from Renny Harlin, deleted scenes with director intro, special effects featurettes, a Stallone on the Edge: The Making of Cliffhanger featurette, storyboard comparisons, and the original theatrical trailer. Quote: Whilst crossing a ledge 4000 feet above the earth, Gabe’s (Stallone) friend’s equipment fails to work and she slips out of his hand, falling to the ground.
