Quote: Whilst crossing a ledge 4000 feet above the earth, Gabe’s (Stallone) friend’s equipment fails to work and she slips out of his hand, falling to the ground. Almost a year later, Gabe is asked to go back to the same mountain range and rescue a group of ‘stranded’ people. The only catch is that the so-called ‘stranded’ people are in fact looking for three boxes filled with $100,000,000 and they need a mountain ranger to lead them to them to the treasure.

I love Cliffhanger, will buy for sure!
Never seen Cliffhanger, though will get this.
I don't think any English movie played for longer than Cliffhanger did in the theatres here. I remember seeing the poster week after week. In the late 80s and early 90s, the standard theatrical run for an English movie was 6 weeks. Cliffhanger went on for well over 30 weeks.
Definitely not Stallone's greatest, but a decent, middle-of-the-pack 90's actioner. John Lithgow made a good foil and Janine Turner was nice eye candy in this flick....

The guy is in shorts and a tank top -- doesn't seem like what you'd want to wear to be climbing snowy mountains. Maybe it's just me.
