Lightning Media has announced DVD ($26.98) and Blu-ray ($39.99) releases of Clive Barker's Book of Blood which stars Jonas Armstrong, Sophie Ward, and Clive Russell. Each will be available to own from the 22nd of September. As far as we know, the only extra material will be a making of featurette. We've attached our first look at the official package artwork for each below:

I've heard some bad things, but the trailer looked good, and I like John Harrison's work (and obviously Barker's) so I'll pick it up eventually.
I hope this is not as bad as "Midnight Meat Train" was.

I loved Midnight Meat Train and I can't wait to check out this.
I loved The Midnight Meat Train as well, but I've heard terrible things about this. I'll rent it and if I like, I'll buy it on Blu.
This was only the prelude to the anthology of the books of blood - a very short piece.
It scares me to think how bad this might be as they pad it out to a full feature....

just saw it - rental at best, and then only if nothing better is available. pretty poor. liked the book(s).
Release date amended on the advise of the publisher.
