Quote: Action star Bruce Willis and ace comic Tracy Morgan play bickering-but-got-your-back Brooklyn buddy cops. Kevin Smith (Clerks, Chasing Amy) directs the gritty, goofball goings-on as the guys hunt for a stolen 1952 mint-condition baseball card, a hunt plunging them into a gunslinging war with a deadly drug ring. Batter up, fans. The boys are ready to take you out to the ol’ brawl game!

LOL, gotta love that 'More Laughs from Kevin Smith' banner at the bottom.
Knew that the artwork was going to match the ad. Still won't buy or rent.

I'm finding the Photoshop job done on Tracy Morgan's right hand on the Blu-ray packaging quite interesting. It's like someone's squatting down behind Bruce Willis and holding the gun.

So Kev can spend enough time on the film for a maximum movie mode thing, and it's just a money job, but a more passion project like Zack and Miri and he flat out ignores the insightful chattracks?
This is why I refuse to see the flick when it's out over here.

Maximum Comedy Mode. Is that like a commentary track? Cause if it isn't, you know a film is bad when Kevin Smith won't do a commentary track for his own movie.

maximum movie mode seems to be a Warner thing so its entirely possible the studios force the directors to do them. like maybe its part of their contract for that particular movie.

Tracy Morgan saved it from being a complete wreck but I don't have any desire to watch it again.
I might pick it up for really cheap to complete my KS collection, but it wasn't all that special. Hopefully the Maximum Movie Mode will be interesting.
Horrible movie. Morgan trying WAY too hard to be funny and failing throughout the movie.
I wasn't planning on seeing how ridiculous the two sound anyway.
Basically, it's 'Tracy Jordan' from 30 Rock starring in a movie. Rashida Jones and Sean William Scott were underutilized..Bruce Willis did a decent job and probably picked up a big fat check.
Worth a rent.

Yeh this was a pretty lame movie. Lets face it, u can try, but u just cant bring back the 80s/90s. This movie just felt tired.

Actually the whole cast took pay cuts just so the studio would let them make the movie R. So he probably didn't

Kevin not doing a commentary on Zack and Miri had nothing to do with the quality of the movie, it was because of the box office. Every box office prediction website said the movie would do huge and it didn't do anywhere near what it should have. It was supposed to be his first major success and that didn't pan out so he really wasn't in the mood to do a commentary before the video release.

And he'd pretty much covered it all on the Smodcasts anyways.
Maximum Comedy Mode will be just like Maximum movie mode on Watchmen and T:Salvation I guess. Hopefully with a little more imput though. (Who am I kidding, it's Kevin Smith, it'll probably be throughout the whole flick)

Exactly. We could have had a podcast commentary like they did with Clerks II but apparently theaters are not okay with people using mp3 players during movies.

This movie was not a true Kev project. The writing was not his at all. So for those who are trying to blame him for the the trifle of s**t please remember that. besides if you have heard him talk about how he would shoot an action scene, that is exactly what he did. As you watch it you get the Kev vibe but not the experience.
I myself, really liked the movie. My 4th favorite movie of the year so far behind Kick-Ass,Iron Man II,and Date Night. Glad to see a Maximum Movie Mode for this, which should be hilarious considering thats the norm with Kevin Smith commentaries and that its got Scott involved. Shame Willis & Morgan aren't involved.
I just one of those bullets on the cover had hit Tracy Morgan in the head.
Tracy Morgan's right hand looks like its Photoshopped I swear.
Bruce Willis looks stretched...
