Quote: It’s 1873 when gunslinger Jake Lonergan (Daniel Craig) awakens in the Arizona desert with no memory of his past and a mysterious metal shackle encircling his wrist. Stumbling into the nearby town of Absolution, Lonergan discovers a tightly closed community that takes its orders from the iron-fisted Colonel Woodrow Dolarhyde (Harrison Ford) — and Dolarhyde has a bone to pick with Lonergan. But the colonel’s influence wanes when the desolate city is attacked by monsters that drop from the sky with blinding force and abduct the helpless townsfolk one by one. As Lonergan’s memory slowly returns, he realizes he holds a secret that could give the town a fighting chance against the alien force. With the help of mysterious beauty Ella (Olivia Wilde), he assembles a posse comprised of former opponents: townsfolk, Dolarhyde and his boys, outlaws and Apache warriors. United against a common enemy, they prepare for an epic showdown for survival.

"What an incredible smell you've discovered!"
Cover art cool and Olivia Is beautiful but the movie was garbage .
Wow, a surprising effort on the cover art!
I wasn't really looking forward to this (the trailers didn't really do it for me and the title was really off-putting), but I saw it anyway and it was actually really good. Heck, it was better the Battle LA.

I now know when "Kung Fu Panda 2" will be out but what about "Contagion" and "Dolphin Tale."
Give the Dvd/Blu release announcement of "Contagion" a few more weeks, and since "Dolphin Tale" just came in number one at the box office, I wouldn't expect to see a Dvd announcement until mid to late November.

I didn't see this one, because of the reviews, and it didn't look interesting to me. The cover art is nice, however.
C**p And Boring Film The Director Gave The Role Of American Cowboy To an english And That Ruines The Film Completely, daniel The Ugly Craig Was Completely Failed And Miscast As American Cowboy And That Is The Reason Why This Film Bombed At American Box Office.
Pretty much standard cover...funny how they imitated the color scheme and the lower part of the poster for Indiana Jones and The Last Crusade.
After seeing the trailers, I was going to pass the movie, but I ended up seeing it only last week...quite average. Unlike I thought it would be, it has some nice characters and drama, but falls short of plot and action.
The movie's problematic production (it took a WGA arbitration to narrow down the number of screenwriters from 14 (!?) to "just" 8) definitely took its toll on the final product.

AMAZING COVER!!!
I had a fun time seeing this in the theater. I am looking forward to picking it up on Blu ray!
Daniel Craig stays pretty busy but he's just not a huge box office draw. He has dream house in theaters too.

I liked it. Not a total winner. I think The girl With The Dragon Tattoo will definitely be 10 times better than Cowboys and Aliens.
Daniel Craig is Harrison Ford's "Wookie-B***h".
This was an average film. It wasn't terrible like some critics said it was. I actually liked it, not love it, but liked it. It was good, not great. So many great people attatched to this film as well such as Jon Favreau, Ron Howard,Brian Grazer, Steven Spielberg, Alex Kurtzman, Roberto Orci, Damon Lindelof. And they all couldn't make a great film together. I may get this if it ever get's cheap on blu-ray.
By the way, GREAT cover! Except they should of put those blue lights next to Olivia Wilde somewhere else on the cover because they just look like they're coming from Harrison Ford's left ear.

wow, love the cover art. film doesn't appeal to me but yeah, awesome cover
Don't care for the film, but that cover art sure is a beauty.
I don't have any problems with that cover. I never watched this one. I was iffy about it from the early previews, and then the advertising overkill and negative buzz turned me off further. If a viewing falls into my lap I'll shut up and watch it, but I don't see myself seeking it out and spending money to see it.
Pass. Looks absolutely ridiculous, and the mixing of two totally different worlds seems awkward and indecisive.
I actually like both cover arts and the color scheme going on, very cool. There were probably better choices but they could have done much worse too. This was one of the summer films I was really anticipating and it was one of the good but not great movies, could have been a little better. I'll still buy it though, wonder bout extended cut.
