Daredevil (US - DVD R1)
Fox have delayed the director's cut of Daredevil until next year
Title: Daredevil
Starring: Ben Affleck
Released: 2005 (Date TBC)
SRP: TBC
We can exclusively reveal that Fox have delayed the director's cut of Daredevil until next year. The film, which stars Ben Affleck and Jennifer Garner was originally scheduled for a release in its uncut form this coming April. The disc itself is expected to introduce a number of new scenes (including the ones with Coolio) as well as an all new commentary with writer/director Mark Steven Johnson. No reason has been given for the delay I'm afraid, but if we hear anything we'll pass the word on. Stay tuned.

I'm a die-hard comic book reader and even I thought"Daredevil"was just "ok".The fight scenes between DD and Elektra were, probably, the highlight of the movie for me. "Daredevil"is now being shown here in the States on HBO in heavy rotation and after watching it a few more times,I forgot how mediocre the movie was,on the whole. The climax between DD and the Kingpin was rather silly, too. It's a shame because you always hope that a superhero flim is as promising as its source material. Still,I liked it about as much,if not a little more than "The Hulk". As for the Director's Cut,it just sounds like another studio cash-in to me.
Daredevil movie was god-awful !
Maybe the DVD is taking so long because 20th Century Fox plans on writing a new script, hiring a new director, and filming a completely new Daredevil movie for 2005. Thats about the only thing that would make this film not suck.
well, by that time I will forget that i already own it and buy it again.
Sucked
I thought it was a bad movie. Waste of my money and time. I was waiting for something big to happen and it didnt.
I so wanted to review this one for my site, ENTERLINE MEDIA .
This is a disappointment they delayed it to 2005 because I wonder if the DC is better than the mess of the theater version (I didn't even get a used copy of the regular disc because I was waiting for the DC)

Maybe the delay is to allow time for people to forget how terrible the film is.

I also thought it wasn't a very good movie, but it wasn't that bad. It was interesting whenever Colin Farrell appeared in it, which unfortunately wasn't too long.
As for the director's cut of the movie, I couldn't care any less about it unless Jennifer Garner has a topless scene in it.

I tend to disagree.
That's what the internet's for... Isn't it?
Heh heh... Well... I'm glad you guys enjoyed it and I'm sorry to hear you have to wait so long for the directors cut. Lets hope it doesn't go the way of Ed Wood and get constantly pushed back until only a few copies leak out and you're forced to pay 100s of dollars on eBay to get your little hands on a copy...

Brian - I'm with you. That film was pitiful. Ben Affleck called me and apologised as he should have done.
