There are five episodes. Part 1 is 60 minutes (less the adverts), the rest are 30 mins.
It's technically a Big Brother spin-off. It's produced by the same guys that make the reality series, and parodies many moments similar to events from the real show, of course with a zombie twist.
One of the best bits is when a housemates tries looking through the mirrored glass, to see the cameraman. What she doesn't realise is he's a zombie doing exactly the same thing back!

I don't think charlie brooker did direct this actually, he wrote and produced. I've heard it's great though

zombie big brother?
well that sounds interesting. so is it done as if it was an actual reality show or is it a "movie within a movie" style? and if its done as real, how come the producers and stuff arent trying to help? or are the zombies actually contestants too?

It's not just the contestants, everyone is dead outside. There are a few survivors in the BB house, some of the production staff, along with a few outside. It's presented like any other drama, as if the events are real. Final episode tonight. I'm assuming it won't have a lovely happy ending.
I think this has been absolutely fantastic, there's a great level of gore and it's pretty bleak, it's kind of like a cross between 28 days later and the Dawn of the Dead remake with a splash of Big Brother.
Now it should be noted that I hate, beyond any ability to convey, Big Brother and Davina McCall, but this is just brilliant and anyone who's seen it and feels the way I do about that abortion of a TV show, knows why I've enjoyed this so much.

Sorry mate but I have to disagree with you, I think the ending was spot on, it doesn't take a genius to realise what brooker was trying to say about the entire Big Brother "craze"

i said it was c**p cos i thought episode 4 was the end, i just wacthed episode 5 and it was amazing, especially the ending.
Loved it from start to finish 10/10.It says on the back cover deleted scenes plus extented scenes aswell.
As I've said on another site... it was slow paced, poor writing with some really one dimensional characters (Brooker ain't all that IMHO) and the ending was feeble. Zombie Davina was best thing about the whole show! How they managed to drag this out over five nights, god only knows - most of the events could have been condensed into a far shorter time frame as not very much actually happens. The really sad thing is that the gore was very brutal for something created for TV and the initial trailers looked extremely promising. Overall, watchable but sadly a real letdown. It's not something I would recommend buying now but rather wait and pick it up in a sale.
