Why is this series so expensive in comparison to other TV box sets? Same with Star Trek. Wtf?
Get an all region player and buy it from HK, like I did, well, for season one.
I don't have HBO so this is the only way I get to see the series, I'm excited.

Man, HBO DVD's always put a hole in my wallet. It's worth it though, especially when you look at the quality HBO produces in its movies and shows.
Never got into this. I don't mind swearing. In fact swearing done well can be very effective and even enjoyable. But here it seemed thrown in all over the place to shock middle America.
It almost destroyed sentences it was so rife!

I agree. The one episode I tried to watch was just over-the-top with its swearing. A lot of it is pointless. And like you, I don't mind sewaring, it's just when it's unneccessary it just looks forced.
BTW, I am from Middle America. Part'near smack dab in the middle, too.

As long as the suckers keep paying 80 bucks for 13 episodes, HBO isn't going to drop their SRPs.
I stick to renting them.

LOL, I just noticed the tagline. "Fortune Comes With A Price". Yeah, who the hell is HBO kidding, charging 100 bucks for a season
Like Star Trek and The X-Files, there's a lot of HBO stuff I'd buy if they werent charging such outrageous prices.
Idiots!
Idiots!
In the UK, Season One is $36 and Season Two is $60. You should consider importing the R2 versions, because those prices are outrageously high.
Try CDWOW or Play.com.

great show but silly name. I don't think a guy should be living in a town called dead wood. sends the wrong message to the ladies
this came out in Australia March 2nd and both seasons
are around $40 bucks each but with no special features.
and their on 4 discs per season.

HBO is a f**king con artist.
Deadwood's a good sleeping aid. For $100.

You do know the show is based on historical characters and places?

What a great show.
Wouldn't it just be cheaper to get HBO on Demand, instead of buying these DVDs?

Finally, I hope the box is shaped like a book like the first season. Now HBO just needs to give up the goods on the final season of Carnivale

Ah, I'd like to say that it was too low brow for me, but I just didn't get it. Oops.
My mother once talked Powers Boothe through an anxiety attack on an airplane on the way to Teluride. They had a lot to talk about because, y'know, his first name is her last name.
