I hated the original, I went to see Hot Tub Time Machine but they had cancelled the screening, so I caught this, pleasantly surprised, given that it was the same film, the original failed heavily, cos this had some great moments.
I can't wait until the black version of Smokey & the Bandit!
Is it a good film? No. Is it a bad film? No. It's amusing and pretty funny watching the characters try to get out of a bad situation in the last half hour. Nothing special, but pretty good.
This was amusing. I liked it. I have not seen the original but basically it's just a Black Remake from what I hear it. This is the exact same as the one in 2007.
Really did like this. Will be buying.
Oh Neil LaBute, what happened to you? I will just watch In the Company of Men and pretend this, Wicker Man, and Lakeview Terrace never existed.
I heard this US re-make was better than the original
Honestly, I wouldn't consider myself stupid for going near this movie. Had zero interest in seeing the movie and no desire at all to purchase it.
I thought I was one of the few guys who didn't like the original. It was pretty unfunny. I didn't even bother with this one. O well, good to see that Luke Wilson is still getting work!
All those funny black guys in the movie and James "Cyclops" Marsden was the dude who actually stole the show in this. Both him and seeing Zoe Saldana in that tight black dress were the only things that kept me from falling asleep watching this, in the movie theater...
I didn't care for the original it felt stale and lifeless (no pun intended). This looks worse.
Dumb ass film.
Didn't see this one, saw the original.
Best example of a pointless remake
Best example of a pointless remake
Oh yes, a remake of an English-language movie from three years ago.
Sigh.
Sigh.
I've never seen the original, but I heard this was shot-for-shot... and I thought it was painfully unfunny.
