Nice! Only for the "Meteor hitting Earth" scene, this films calls for a Blu-ray release. I can't imagine how incredible and rich will it look or sound. The Special Collector's Edition DVD looked and sounded pretty good.

does this mean the other meteor movie is coming to blu next? cuz i've avoided buying Armageddon in any format despite how much i like it. lol
Deep Impact is an OK movie, but a masterpiece compared to Armageddon.
Forget about Barack, Morgan Freeman was the real first black President in this movie. Tom Beck FTW!
Never saw the ending of this. Will have to rent just for that.
Give me Armageddon..... Blu Ray
Lets drill this iron son of a b***h!!! Oh wait wrong movie.
I like Deep Impact, I'm sure its the more realistic picture. But even with all its bravado and cheese, I still prefer Armageddon.

I agree, Deep Impact is spontaneous and better written than that Armageddon garbage. Besides Armageddon is Disney, they have totally different release plan schedules.
Deep Impact was more drama where Armageddon is more of a popcorn film.
I always thought Armageddon wasn't out to win awards - it was just a fun popcorn movie, nothing more....
