Quote: In a happy suburban neighborhood surrounded by white picket fences with flowering rose bushes, sits a black house with a dead lawn. Unbeknownst to the neighbors, hidden deep beneath this home is a vast secret hideout. Surrounded by an army of tireless, little yellow Minions, we discover Gru (Steve Carell), planning the biggest heist in the history of the world. He is going to steal the moon. Yes, the moon! Gru delights in all things wicked. Armed with his arsenal of shrink rays, freeze rays and battle-ready vehicles for land and air, he vanquishes all who stand in his way. Until the day he encounters the immense will of three little orphaned girls who look at him and see something that no one else has ever seen: a potential Dad. One of the world’s greatest super-villains has just met his greatest challenge: three little girls named Margo, Edith and Agnes.

If I had to admit a sin, I'd say that I enjoyed Despicable Me more than Toy Story 3. Honest. Give me a choice, I'll pick this movie. I don't want to diss Toy Story 3, but I honestly felt that it was just retreading Toy Story 2's message and just being more upfront about it. It was good overall and it had some great moments that truly are memorable, but 2 covered this ground already and did it better. It also didn't write off Bo Peep with only two lines the )$ @*$&@*s.
If you think Toy Story 3 was the better film, I will not dispute that. I'm just a viewer with an opinion and something about Despicable Me just clicked right.

Although it has flaws, it's a damn superior than many Dreamworks' animation. Not bad for a first attempt by the studio who made it.
Also, I'm wondering why the enemy is not an MI6 agent since Gru look enough like 007's Blofeld. Just a thought.

Awesome movie. the movie is still playing here. the movie did amazing business. And i cant believe the budget was only $69M
This was such an enjoyable, fun movie! I had a big smile on my face the whole time (and every time those Minions were on screen, I couldn't stop laughing). Can't wait to watch it again on DVD.
I was quite surprised with this one. I really enjoyed it, despite the awful early previews/trailers. The TV spots did a better job convincing me to go see it than the movie theatre trailers.
Definitely a purchase for me. I might actually go see it for the third time this week before it leaves the theatres completely.

I haven't seen this but want to. My bro and sis in law saw it and loved it. Since it's so close to Christmas for the release date, I think I might pick it up for my sis in law on blu as a Christmas gift.

I'm so sick of that ogreblown series. (can't help maself!)
Despicable Me was wonderful. Not Pixar tier, but still a funny and adorable time at the movies. I'll definitely pick it up.
Agree actually with "Despicable Me." Trust me, "Shrek Forever After" was way better than the third film and it's been about four months since it's been out and no new release date.
I actually am looking forward to getting this movie. Getting it along with "Toy Story 3."
